Will Vegapunks speech and seeing luffy go up against the gorosei be the moment that finally pushes kizaru into betraying the wg?

With his fruits large aoe and destructiveness he could potentially play a role in forcing the gorosei to escape the island
At the same time that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s just going to team up with luffy. It’d just mean he’d be able to fight with full resolve nothing holding him back

- the AR will hold off the Gorosei in that timeframe
- Kizaru will be defeated within 10 minutes
- Luffy will lose his G5 power, this powering down the robot and freeing the Gorosei from that issue.
- When 10 minutes are up and Kizaru is "defeated", he will flip and sacrifice himself to save Luffy and crew.

It sounds like a lot but narratively I just entirely see this happening at this time

Yeah, Kizaru didn't have the courage to side with his friends when it was just Saturn, but after he literally tried to kill his friends several times and seemed to have succeeded with Vegapunk, he all of a sudden switches up when it is him versus Saturn plus all the other Gorosei. I agree, but I do think we will get a showcase from him against Luffy first. If there is one thing Oda is consistent with on this series, its Luffy generally getting a complete fight, so whether or not he's tough enough to fight Luffy for real, I think its imperative that Luffy gets at least one finisher on someone this arc

Since the Gorosei seem unlikely now, he's the best candidate for it. I think after this, similar to Katakuri, he'll stand up again after losing at the last second to protect Luffy and crew from the Gorosei (at that point the AR will potentially have been utilized as best as it can), then possibly die doing so.
