That's not what was connected to fear.. Imagine if Rayleigh and Kuma were not there in Shabondy.. It would have been game over..
Ok? Kuma was the one who broke him. If that fear carried over to Kizaru, then Luffy should fear Sento and Kuma himself as well.

Luffy's reaction is simply a recall of his fear of losing his crew again and
each of them disappearing in front of him..

He's not actually scared of Kizaru but what the memory attached to that moment brings back..

That explains why he looks shook..

Same as when Akainu is mentioned, his scar itches or any characters that have a scar done
by someone else for that matter..

It will be interesting to see how Luffy will overcome this in the coming battle or if it will only be a brief sensation..
That would be a good handicap for Kizaru..

Here you go.. Leave your thoughts..
He literally fucking shouts "Oi! someone very powerful is here!!" I have seen many excuses from Yonko riders today but this one takes the cake easily.

Imagine getting this butthurt over one simple expression made by a Yonko. Bitch Admiral fans deal with this kind of bashing every week, man up for once and don't twist the manga to suit your headcanon (which makes no sense btw).

Luffy- says "someone very strong is coming" while shitting himself
Admiral haters- b..b.but he called Kiku strong :pepemotion:

Kizaru was the real threat, not Sentomaru and the pacifitas..
Kizaru turned that event from a dangerous situation to a Life or Death situation..

You're being over technical about it.. I'm giving you a reasonable explanation to Luffy's reaction, you can accept it or not..

Luffy would experience a severe reaction too if he were to meet Akainu in person right now as well.. :kayneshrug:

This chapter revealed so many pseudo psychologist in the community who are "experts" in trauma analysis . All he said was someone powerful arrived
not that deep
stop coping.
You have seen the chapter discussion and spoiler discussion thread

They have to do it. It's hard for them to accept that a yonkou was portrayed with such facial expressions hyping an admiral.

Accepting it goes against their agenda after all

There's no argument in your comment..

What Luffy says and how Luffy react are 2 different things.. Me giving an interpretation to how Luffy's felt there doesn't take
away at what he said that '' someone very powerful was coming ''..

There's no need to hype and Admiral.. We already know they are a powerhouse..

your intepretation is trying to find other reasons to compensate for luffy's reaction that are quite simply just unfounded .
its a reach simple as.

you can go ahead and think what you want
just dont act like its based on anything shown this chapter.

What's a reach is believing that Luffy's character is afraid of someone else whoever it may be.. If anything he's yearning for it..
Same with Zoro, they are welcoming any fight their way..

That shadow really made y'all think that it was some extreme reaction lul

What happened to that trauma when he ran into Kizaru multiple times at Marineford?

It's simply Luffy being shocked that someone powerful appeared so suddenly in my opinion.

In an instant Kizaru arrived so it's kinda expected, I doubt he knows who exactly it is in the first place...

Half assed explanation.. That does not warrant Luffy's reaction..
nothing half assed about it
unlike the nonsense you spilled
it actually is based on the chapter

1. luffy and his crew are looking to escape not to fight or to take on some new challenge as you pulled out of your ass.
2. A powerful person showing up is more than they currently bargained for.

That's not consistent with Luffy's character really.. He's not the type be shocked from a top tier showing up in his face unless
he has to protect his crew that is with him..

How does he not know, there's light all over..

Luffy doesn't care about escaping or not, he stopped himself to fight Fujitora..
Those are unconsequential factors from Luffy's perspective.. Yet he's spooked..

You’re targeting the writtten argument but not what Rootbeer is trying to say without putting it into words.

Luffy can’t react like that to Kizaru, because Rootbeer doesn’t think Kizaru is strong enough (in relation to Luffy) to yield that response.

If he won’t be honest with that, there’s no point in discussing it with him
