Smoker is a one shot for Godfy now. No way Oda can make him a solid opponent for Godfy. He's a fodder. No explanation can suffice him getting powerful all of a sudden. One Piece would go down the drain if Smoker, a fodder, happens to not get one shot by Godfy.

I'm here for Blackbeard adopting Koby arc!
I was joking elsewhere recently since other characters in OP have a habit of adopting children a lot and suddenly revealed children from "nowhere", Blackbeard may have children we don't know about or to think of it, he could end up trying to adopt and thus even groom/brainwash someone like Koby now especially ofc.
I agree, it would make sense if Koby witnessed something that Blackbeard would not want others finding out about, especially the Marines and WG. Maybe Xebec related? Like if Xebec is posessing him or his soul is in BB somehow or so? Or maybe how Blackbeard steals DFs and can eat more than 1?
There's so many possibilities with this storyline and I'm kinda excited for where it could go but I fear with Oda, it could really backfire or even end up being a gag too somehow. I hope something really interesting with actual consequences and not just a "return to status quo" in a sense will happen from this.
I fear Aokiji might serve as an inversion of the "Titanic influences" here on the BB pirates. Guy who can easily make icebergs allying with the "Titanic Captains" and the Titanic ship was infamous for being neg/low diffed by an iceberg too ofc.
Seriously though, I think Aokiji or Kuzan ofc, might end up being a sacrifical lamb even, a potential Admiral death to save Kobys life instead and provide character growth and Kobys own equivalent of losing Ace for Luffy too for example. Well somewhat anyway at least lol.
Oda has not been showing Aokiji since he appeared on Punk Hazard nor after he was mentioned to be in cahoots with the Blacbeard pirates and rumoured to be linked with the OP underworld or something, whatever the hell is actually going on with him so Oda is definitely saving it for this Koby situation now too.
Blackbeard's 10th captain is STILL a mystery and I wonder if that will coincide with Aokiji being confirmed as it and then showing hes either infilitrated BB's crew bigtime or he's actually serious about joining them and has gone rogue, maybe a necessary evil type situation or something, going for the greater good/pragmatism? Or Kuzan is really that disillusioned now too? I don't think he could have been hypnotised by Lafitte but that could always be a potential reason for why he might be working with BB too?
OP has gone CRAZY on the power creep in some ways though as we've seen with Boas fruit, especially these recent revelations about it, Sugars fruit, Tamas fruit and even Big Mom's fruit as well as some others and the power creep is only gonna get much worse too plus Oda has been clowning on Admirals and Marines a lot post TS and recently too with the Admirals specifically, so I fear the worst too.

I don't think we've ever seen Smoker go fully intangible right? Hes always "half transformed"? Someone said he could wreck the ozone layer in the OP world with his fruit which is INSANE when you think about it and the IMMENSE consequences that could have, most likely an awakening ability ofc lol. Maybe he could permanently cause somewhere to be foggy/smoky too thus "hiding it" like that one permanently foggy/misty part of the ocean during that filler arc pre TS? It kept sending people back to the start of the area and seemed like time travel?
I wondered if Smoker could incorporate combustion and even explosives into his smoke somehow, maybe an "acidic smoke" somehow?
I'm not exactly the best when it comes to "scientific knowledge" especially compared to my much younger self who studied Chemistry and Physics and used to love them lol. So in other words, I remember and know a lot less now too.
Maybe Oda can take a "Mythical" approach to his DF and give it some crazy upgrades somehow? He definitely has to get awakening somehow at least, but I thought of super soldier serums Captain America style, raid suit equivalent, some kind of technology from Vegapunk to boost haki mastery, seastone weapon upgrades, being de-aged by Bonney and even being made into some kind of Suuuuuuuper Cyborg, like a Terminator?
Oda is hiding Smoker currently and being so nonchalant with it too, I really hope theres some kind of actual positive reason for it and Smoker is not getting screwed over again. I doubt it since the children are safe and getting treated/cured by Vegapunk gradually here as confirmed by Tashigi too and she was right about VP actually helping them too in hindsight and thus I hope Smoker is gonna be getting some kind of MAJOR comeback, especially since Oda loves bringing back characters and making them stronger and hyping them up too, the Cross Guild and Boa being such especially blatant exmples too.
Bellamy was a complete joke pre TS too, being literally one shot by Luffy easily and he came back and provided Luffy an actual fight and struggle somewhat, although it was more mental/emotional with Doflamingos manipulation of him and his desperate attempt to appease him or w/e too. Doflamingo really fucked him over mentally like he did to others like Baby 5, Viola, Rebecca and Law especially.
So I have somewhat high hopes for Smoker and I really hope Oda does him "Justice", hes such a fantastic, honourable characters and one of the best Marines they have in terms of ideology and actions, hes a hero amongst many monsters there. I forsee Smoker getting a Big Damned Heroes moment like the trope and some kind of redemption for his failings post TS. I have faith Oda will make him look good somehow, I really hope so.
