Jeez, Kodiaks can weigh up to 1,400 lbs? Idk, it’d be a struggle lol.
Bears fight by fucking your shit up, that’s how lmfao.
Grizzlies for example aren’t great fighters, but they are so big and strong that it’s basically meaningless. They are better fighters than Tigers but worse than Lions. Unlike Tigers, Grizzlies will manhandle you with brute strength and throw you around and shit. They won’t grapple you and maul you with every weapon at once like lions will, but they’ll manhandle you with sheer power.
Idk two good enough African Lion males can probably take a Grizzly in a hard, hard fight. Bears are just so tanky, they basically ignore damage from felines lmfao. Bear skin for example can range from 2-6 inches thick (fuck) and lion claws are only like 1.5 inches long.

Actually brown bears have some of the best innate grappling/wrestling knowledge out of any animal

Overall adult tigers and lion might be more combat versatile because of experience but the innate/instinctual wrestling of the bear is far superior

Most of this fight is just them laying down, and the Tiger that gets pinned can’t really bring his hind paws to his defense like lions can because his body is just too long lol. This issue doesn’t apply to lions, they have shorter but bulkier bodies built for this kind of shit.
Even grizzlies can grapple like lions even if they mostly fight with upper body brute strength shit lol.
