Character Discussion Law being angry tsundere is so stupid

I mean you basically summed up his character:
Acts all serious and mature on the surface, but shows that he is indeed a troll/goofball in the heart time and time again.
This is actually one of the things that has been consistent since he got a major role in PH (not like many other things unfortunately).

I mean Oda couldve written this as his gag, buts hes very inconsistent with it.
His gag rivalry with Luffy and Kidd changes dynamic too often. One moment he doesnt care about such stupid things and wants to teamup.....and at other times he doesnt want to be outshined and is very harsh.
Zoro and Sanji atleast keep it consistent. They dont really verbally team up ever, and have always potrayed they hate teaming up with each other. The one time they agreed to verbally team up, they said it in a forced manner. They dont act mature one second, then act like a kid the next second.
Plus whilst someone like Sanji is pretty smart like. He always has always shown that hes truly an idiot at heart. Law really has no idiotic trait in him other than this thing.

Honestly, it gives law just more depth and shows something else way more. Law is used to be the serious one, always in concern, strategic, in danger, need to take care of everything around him, pretty much like a real doctor.
but with Luffy and Kid, his rivals, it feels more like some kind of brotherhood. They lowkey respect each other deeply, they trust each other so far to take down an yonko, but they will never skip their rivalry, like brothers. Kinda like ace said „we laughed about him a lot, but we would never allow someone else to laugh about him.“
And this kind of relationship gives Law the opportunity to be a bit more light hearted, to act in this rivalry. To act free of mind, just like his heart tells.

i disagree hard Garp. Zoro, Sanji and Luffy always had another kind of dynamic. While they maybe overran luffy or joked about him, they would never ever deny his position as captain. There was never a doubt in who is in charge here and who is, blandly spoken, the mc.
What oda does with Law and Kid is something completely different and really enjoyable in my opinion. Than for the first time, it’s not only the MC who wins every argument or mocks the others. Now kid mocked them an Luffy just reacted like law. There was no „mc above the others“. We suddenly got a dynamic where Luffy is part of a group which don’t necessarily is grouped under him. Because law and kid don’t get themselves under luffy.

He's usually calm, mature and level-headed but that changes when he's challenged by Kid and Luffy. Not that strange and it doesn't contradict his previous characterization since those are exceptions due to change in those around him. He doesn't need to constantly be the same and react a particular way 24/7 regardless of who he's with.
