General & Others Let’s just admit it; Oda has been milking this series for a long time now

People always mistake on this topic. Oda adding things to the work is not milking. He is world building. That's one of top subjects from One Piece. The problem is pacing only. Focus on irrelevant plots and characters.

So he did what every other serialized mangaka does... That's not Oda's formula. That's SJ's formula and every other manga publisher.
Man, such a disingenuous response. Dude, it doesnt matter if oda isnt the only one milking shit. Thats not the critic. The critic is that oda, obviously, is the king of milking shit. Nobody beats him on that deparment

Oda is just thinks too big for his skills to make up for it

If he was 4ever young man he could pull it but he is getting old
Just admit oda didnt have that much of a plan for one piece. Like sure, i do believe he had like at least half of it planned to some cqpacity, wich is equal to at least 600 chapters, but the more the series continues, the clearer is the improvisation

I think its more of a Jump thing than Oda. They wont let their cash cow OP to end

I dont buy it. Oda hasnt reached this point by being force to continue the story forever. He is clearly doing it on his own. Even if shonen jump can do that to some capacity, most mangakas have reached a point of just stopping. But oda doesnt. Like any other mangaka, after a period of time, he has choice, and he just choses to continue, and i also dont buy that he is doing as artistic choice or with best interest for his work in mind. He is clearly just milking the series at this point, by always expanding and never daring to ever make a gamechanging move, like daring use characters like dragon, or shanks and ethernally sideline them. Same with all his mysteries he doesnt reveal. He is basicly holding them hostages at this point cause he knows thats what maintains the interest in his series. Just that he and his fans are tol naive if they think he can dragg it forever without revealing his real intentions

Oh yes the genius that knows what oda thinks and knows why his doing things and the fans who disagrees with him are just naive.:seriously:

So you think he just enjoys working 6-7 days a week, and sleeping 2-3 hours a night, spending days if not weeks away from his family, for the past 23 years and counting, for sake of "Milking" the series? :seriously:
I guess the fans don't realize this but - one piece has too many character's & you have to give justice to each one of them with that one piece . And if you have so , many character's the fail percentage is greater than success .

Not really, I hightly dislike Nika, but the overall concept of everything that happens in manga was planned, and there is a lot of evidence for that.

Well, if you want a shorter story, many mangas like that exist. Oda represents one of the few authors who was able to become financially sucessful at a young age, allowing him to make OP for 30 years. There's a good and a bad elements to it.

I’m glad there is someone crazy enough to draw and write a manga this long and weekly at that with still being a behemoth in the industry.

If someone wants to make the most bloated large adventure manga ever why stop them?

Regardless of one thinks if he is milking it or not, that’s impressive and says enough about the quality and here we are on a fringe forum (OP is still a pillar in the industry)
