Which is that CoC Haki users have a trait of not backing down or backing out.
All of what you mentioned of Sanji “Backing Down” was him merely protecting those who couldn’t protect themselves.

Baratie - He reserved to protect the dream of the man who sacrificed their life for him
WCI - He sacrificed himself to protect Zeff and others from an overwhelming force

It’s just like Oden dancing for 3 years for Orochi and then killing himself after Kaido beat him.

Here is the thing - if oda really wanted to take haki route for sanji then there was absolutely no reason for Oda to go for RS route.

Sanji at WCI was totally against RS. oda could have easily build on this and give sanji haki in wano because oda made sanji clearly say - he won't use it.

But nah..he actually made sanji use RS and then awaken his exo.

Also, oda clearly can make Judge realise how wrong it was when he will see how strong sanji with exo is despite having emotions. This will do more justice to this plot because judge whose mind is behind all of this will be proven wrong by his own science
Personally i do not see what's wrong with how oda has done things with the RS/Exo awakening. Sanji isn't just supported by haki and that makes him different,he has the Exo...just like zoro has his swords, luffy has his fruit if oda wants he can totally go the haki route with sanji its a combination of exo/haki that even let him use ifrit in the first place. Lastly yea judge seeing sanji have his emotions/strenth/exo could be as far as oda takes it and that be enough but being a conqueror is just the biggest f u to him i can't really see how that can be argued against.

The observation still stands though. Oden's first reaction to Kaido's treatment of Wano when he first got back was immediately attacking him along with Orochi. Didn't his dancing only come after that? Just because CoC users don't back down doesn't mean that they can't show restraint and patience. Shanks showed restraint to the bandits in chapter 1, but zero to Kidd who was threatening his fleet.

Sanji meanwhile gave up immediately after he knew Big mom could threaten zeff's life, i think he also gave up after Gin broke Zeff's peg leg and threatened to kill him with a gun to his head. Sanji gave up after that and Pearl got a free shot. Sanji gave up after he couldn't hit Kalifa, Sanji gave up after he couldn't hit Black Maria.

Sanjis initial reaction was:
1. Save the Straw Hats
2. Take one of Big Moms pirates hostage
3. Tell judge and big mom to shove it.

The only reason he accepted his role in the wedding was realizing that there was no other way to save everyone.

When Gin put a gun to Zeffs head Sanji didn’t back down, he stopped fighting back and told Gin to point his gun at Sanji instead because Sanji was protecting Zeff and his dream with his life. Or is Zoro willing to sacrifice himself to Kuma for Luffy him “backing down” from his dream?

And you’re using the Kalifla and Black Maria incidents saying Sanji backed down? Sanji merely showing that his principals are things he’s willing to die for is a conqueror trait. Conquerors don’t back down on their beliefs as you said, and clearly Sanji will never bow down on his principles there

All of the examples you gave was Sanji either standing up for those he lives, or for the beliefs he hold most dear to him. All of which are constantly shown in conquerors.

Apples and oranges again

Luffy - wants to become PK - on top of every pirate including yonkou

Zoro - WSS - On top of every swordsman including the likes of Mihawk and shanks and law

Sanji - I want to find all blue....this doesn't require you to be on top.

Just like chopper has dream to find cure for all doesn't require him to be on top
Meanwhile Whitebeard just wants to have a family and settled for second place and didn't even bother to go after One Piece:risitameh:

Sanji only did that because at that time he still thought he could be in control. He still gave up and lost the will to fight after he over heard Pudding telling Reiju his whole family is to be killed at the wedding and had to be knocked to his senses by Luffy. He couldn't find and muster the strength by himself.

Zoro only backed down after he tried and failed to knock out Kuma with Death Lion Song, his last attack while everybody else was down. When Sanji gave up to Gin, the rest of the cooks from Baratie were still standing. Luffy was still fighting Don Krieg.

And its not CoC users not backing down on their beliefs, its not backing down against impossible odds. Ace never backed down when he fought whitebeard alone or was losing to blackbeard, Hancock never backed down even at the Navy's threat of rescinding her Warlord status, Kidd never backed down even though he faced impossible odds against Kaido and Shanks.

Sanji meanwhile: asks why Zoro dosen't give up to Mihawk, gives up after Gin threatens Zeff's life, gives up against Kalifa in water Seven, gives up against Big Mom and Vinsmoke Judge in WCI, gives up against Black Maria in Wano.

Quite interesting so many ppl voted for adv CoC. Sanji entire personality and history represents him not being a conqueror.

I don't think there are many more candidates.

And IF there's ANYBODY in the entire OP universe that actually deserves getting CoC but didn't, it is Sir fucking Crocodile.

You get that conquerors can show weakness right… after Marineford luffy even doubted his own abilities. But Sanji never lost the will to protect everyone which is why even when given the freedom to run, he stayed to protect the Germa.

Sanji didn’t give up to Gin??? Reread the arc dude. Gin was threatening to kill Zeff, and Sanji didn’t want that to happen so he was going to sacrifice himself in Zeffs place. I don’t get what point you’re trying to make but it’s not the one you’re hoping for.

Sanji never backed down? Like that’s the thing not one point did Sanji stop trying to protect people he cared for. Even with death on the line Sanji never gave up on his ideals.

Zeff and Oda themselves state that Sanji in Baratie have the same will, the same “Spear of Grit” as Zoro and Luffy and that he’s been holding himself back for too long.

You really need to reread cause you’re just actively wrong if you think Sanji gave up in any of those instances lmao

Show Sanji overwhelming people like luffy and zoro does. Show Sanji making people drop their jaw due to his feats
