General & Others Let's replace the Five Elders with these characters. Kaido, Big Mom, Mihawk, Green Bull, and Kuzan

#1
It's the Egghead arc, same scenario but this time instead of the Gorosei, it is Kaido, Big Mom, Mihawk, Green Bull, and Kuzan.

The Straw Hats and everyone is trying to escape from them.

The five villains can not go all out but they can still somewhat fight.

The five villains can also get hurt because they obviously don't have the immortality regen.

Again same scenario in everything except this time it's those five characters instead of the Gorosei.

So now here is the question?
Would you downplay them? Or would you make excuses for them?

No such stipulation exists in the manga

Also I don't need Kaido and co.
Here is what happens if I put enel from skypia against Brook usopp Nami and chopper right now trying to escape

He doesn't even need to try
This is the weirdest cope thread about gorosei and they get worse the more they appear

Gee I wonder how top tiers who aren't going all out would look against people with incredible plot armor. I'm sure they also never failed to take out people with no plot armor while not going all out. For example Aramaki fighting Morley but not beating or severely injuring her.
That would just be preposterous!
For plot reasons, the Gorosei can't kill the Straw Hats and certain other characters, the other reason why they can't go all out is because they don't want to completely destroy Egghead as they still need Punk Records and the Mother Flame.

"The Gorosei fucking suck! Just look at how terrible they are!"

Meanwhile Fujitora and Green Bull at Marijoa.

They can not go all out because if they do, the Celestial Dragons would get hurt, and Marijoa would get heavily damaged if not worse.

"It isn't their fault! They are simply being held back!"

Hypocrisy at its finest for some people.:kuzanshut:

The problem isn't with the Gorosei, nor it was with Big Mom during that stupid wedding cake chase, or with Kaido when he should have killed Momonosuke and the Scabbards, nor with Mihawk or the admirals trying to kill Luffy at Marineford.

The problem always has been the plot, the convenient and frustrating plot.

Germa + fireman + Half ShP + FISHMEN barely escaped from BMP.
Fishmen pirates ended up badly injured that Jinbei had to stay with them for 3 weeks before showing to Wano
BM still caught 2 Vinsmokes before they got saved days later.

SHP + Punks are escaping from 6 top tiers + marine fleet + CP fleet with only Punk sacrifc8ng themselves.

Those five characters kill them with almost zero effort and the manga ends, Gorosei not being able to go all out is just some bullshit you made up, straight cope.
Oda isn't allowing anybody to kill the Straw Hats at this point in time. Hell, Kaido couldn't even kill Kinemon during a war, and he tried his damnest. At the end of the day it's a fictional story told by a bias author who doesn't care about the logic of how a character lives through seemingly impossible situations.

Saturn dealing with the Weak Hats prove this as he could of simply used his nukes to exterminate everyone in the vicinity, or any of his other haxes like his poison, his statis, or his stare ability, yet he went through the trouble of trying to barrel through them to get to the snails. Nusjuro hasn't used his ice abilities on anyone else other than the Pacifistas. They're obviously being saved for a future arc.

Well if you want to use the plot excuse then everything is meaningless and powerscaling discussions are irrelevant.

You can call it whatever. At the end of the day, plot armor has always been a thing in One Piece, and if that sours you on One Piece powerscaling, more power to you.
