Theory Loki's fruit is probably the World Serpent Jormungandr.

Since Arabasta we know that some nations have their own "official fruits", mostly known as guardian spirits or guardian deities.

For example:
The Jackal and Falcon DFs, which are based on Horus and Anubis, and both are the Guardian Spirits of Arabasta.
The Okuchi no Makami, which is based on a creature from Japanese mythology, and is currently the guardian deity of Wano.

All of these fruits are zoans, which are known to have their own will.

And their will is, for some reason, to be reborn in those nations with which they have some unknown relationship, perhaps because that's where they'll find the most suitable user, or simply because they want to protect that particular territory.

I feel that the "Legendary Fruit" of Elbaph will follow the same pattern, so:
- To be reborn in the same territory for centuries means that it must be a Zoan.
- Be part of the mythology of that territory.

Looking at Loki's appearance, we can see a bit of his tattoo that resembles wings:

The pattern of the wings is very similar to that of the caduceus, a staff wielded by Hermes in Greek mythology and Mercury in Roman mythology, both of whom, like Loki, are the "tricksters" of their respective mythologies.
And as you can see, they are also symbolised by 2 snakes.

And Loki is often symbolised with 2 snakes entwined around each other,

Following all these patterns, I really feel that Loki could have eaten the Jormungandr DF, it would be the creature that fits him best, even better than Fenrir and the fire giants.
But there are some unknown answers yet to be revealed, like why his eyes are covered, which I can't relate to Jormungandr.

We'll see, but I'm very excited about this character, whether he's a villain or not.

The best theory I've read so far as to Loki's fruit is the Hito Hito: model Lunarian.
I don't understand why you would want just another guy with Lunarian powers, though. I mean, we've seen it so much in the last couple arcs that it wouldn't be something new.

At least with the Seraphim and King they also had a separate Devil Fruit ability on top of the passive abilities of Lunarians.

A Lunarian fruit by itself would just give someone the white hair, brown skin, black wings, and flame on their back.

In fact, if Loki, a giant, gets his main powers from another race entirely, then that sort of detracts from how special giants are.

I would love if his devil fruit is some broken / OP Paramecia , mythical Zoans are becoming overused lately and they are too one dimensional.

But yeah Fenrir , Fire Giant , Jormungandr are likely Norse mythology related outcomes if its mythical Zoan.

In terms of design, It's my favourite creature to make a zoan of.

Surtr is peak.
Peak for sure. Loki with a flaming beard, body and sword would be epic as fuck. I couldn't care less if fire powers are common because fire giants are baddass mofos.

Although i think Fenrir is more likely.

Neat theory but i dont agree with the guardian deity DFs
I don't have the Japanese raw in front of me right now but the legendary DF of elbaf didn't sound like its passed to a "mere" guardian, it sounded like almost proof of the royal lineage. Which is something different than the country tied DFs before.

It would be DF momonusuke or Vivi eat, not their guardians

Norse Mythology centers around Gods like Odin and Thor who fight against such beings as Fenrir.

Vidarr killed Fenrir, Thor killed Jormungadr, and Surtr fights Freyr and wins.

I have noticed plenty of attention given to the evil guys, but not much given to the good ones.

Another interesting concept for a DF would be the Sphinx, but kinda adpted to the Norse Mythology:

Where the whole body is Fenrir's, the wings are from Odin's crows and the tail is Jormungandr's.
