General & Others Luffy, Kid and Law's "rivalry" seems to be very forced in the story.

The entire narrative leading to Wano is present with or without Law, through Momonosuke. Take him out, and what happens?

-The Strawhats still go to Punk Hazard. They still get into a fight with Caeser due to what he did to the kids, which puts them on a collision course with Doffy and Kaido. They still meet up with Momo and Kin, who setup Kaido.
-they still go to Dressrosa, only to rescue Kanjuro this time. Dressrosa happens the same way, because Law was irrelevant to the actual island of Dressrosa. The Riku’s still provide the antagonism with Luffy
-they go to Zou to meet up with Raizo. Luffy still says he’ll kick Kaido’s ass for Momo.

It’s pretty easy to see how the arcs would have flowed without Law, because Law was not planned. Literally the only difference is Big Mom being thrown into Wano, where she didn’t belong, entirely to get rid of her. And there was zero connection between Big Mom and Law. They had no story together prior to their fight. Oda could have had the Strawhats minus throw her off the island and it would have more buildup, at least half of them were on WCI.

He’s not even important for the future, he’s just strong male Robin who can’t actually read Poneglyphs.


Remove Chopper and the arc of Drum doesn’t happen. And pre-skip, when we had a much smaller, more focused cast, is entirely changed.

Law’s just one part of an entirely bloated post-skip cast, and an easily replaceable one.

As for Kid, he’s just a non-entity story wise.

I think we just won’t agree here. Saying character X can easily be replaced by another character Z can be argued with most characters especially Kinemon and pretty much the entire Wano cast lol. “Even without Law, they would have had a collision with Doffy anyways”. “Even without Law, they would have fought Kaidou anyways“. “Forget that Law is heavily connected to Doffy’s whole character, we can just pretend like he never existed“. Forget that Law saved Luffy in MF, of course any other character will just save the MC. I can make the exact same argument with Jinbei, we can forget he ever existed, he’s also easily replaceable lol. Don’t get me started on Oden, this character was born out of Oda’s ass and look how he‘s now highlighted in the story. Stop having selective thinking on who’s important to the story or not. It just comes off as only wanting SHs to be relevant lol. That’s not One Piece brother, sorry to say. If Law doesn’t have an impact on the story then god forbid, what’s the criteria for being relevant to the narrative? lol. And also thinking Law’s not relevant in the future is kind of a wild take at this point.

I hope Law and Kidd have ryou too. But anyway, my original point was that Luffy is above their league now that he is confirmed to be JoyBoy. Wether he'd be able to defeat Kidd + Law before his awakening is another matter

And yes we all also "hope" but in the manga they don't have.
So basically adv.coc + ryou + fs + g4 luffy vs awakening Kidd who didn't have any haki feats, you know the answer.

Pretty bad for people who are called true rivals.

Law/kidd/luffy is just another Zoro/Sanji or Buggy and Shanks. It's a forced rivalry. Only purpose : comedy scenes but not for serious things. None of them will ever face each others seriously.

I still think something is wrong with this "rivalry" we don't feel any threat. Kid and Law aren't threatening.

And in influence, in feats, in individual power, in crew power, in fleet, in poneglyph Luffy has 3 and they only have 2 in addition Luffy has Robin for poneglyphs, former members of Whitebeard and Roger are all behind Luffy.

There is no competition.

Luffy is unquestionably above.

About Robin, it's definitely a booster to have her in the crew. But it's starting to look like there are other ways to read poneglyphs. Three-eyed tribe there is. And now we just found out about the "man with a burn scar"

Big Mom vs Law and Kidd didn't make any sense to me. But afaik kidd didn't use haki against her or à small amount maybe. I mean Big mom lost suddenly her passive shield, got hurt by metals and also never used her adv.coc, lol ...

They dont want to hear the truth. Big mom and kaido were giggling during hakai. It was low tier co-op attack. Like you said, no haki or transformations. Just an shockwave created by the AFTERMATH of them swinging their weapons.

The only ones concerned with hakai afterwards, were zoro fans and zoros 30 brittle bones.
