General & Others Luffy, Kid and Law's "rivalry" seems to be very forced in the story.

You can genuinely remove Kid and Law entirely from the story and the only difference would be Oda would have to give Big Mom an actual ending instead of forcing her into Wano as Kaido‘s sidekick to write her off.
Kid’s role otherwise has been non-existent and even the trail of the story that goes PH to Dressrosa to Zou to Wano could be accomplished with just Momo and the samurai.

You mean they are equal to Luffy there? If you want yes to Shabondy they were pretty much on the same level. But Law could beat everyone with his power.
But after the ellipsis it's absolutely not the same thing at all. Luffy stomps on them without even using Gear 5 and it's very disturbing that there is such a gap in strength.
Luffy is a God, He is considered the Sun God Nika with his Gear 5, which offers him almost endless possibilities because he is overflowing with imagination. (chapter 1044)
Vegeta is much more respected than Law and Kid. Vegeta is treated much better than Law and Kid. When Vegeta and Goku see each other for the first time, we immediately feel a tension. Many people prefer Vegeta to Goku and why? Because Toriyama represented Vegeta well, who had a good development, real links to history and other things. Kid and Law who do they have next to that? Nothing at all .

It was obvious that Big Mom should not fall in Wano, I think Oda wanted to get rid of it quickly.

--I don't have problems with Kidd - Luffy rivalry. Law didn't seem interested in OP and more so in destroying doffy and never thought of luffy as rival and in wano oda changed that which is stupid and out of his character imo.
--Kidd - luffy rivalry is more about OP and strength to some extent. We know luffy bodies kidd but still in terms of personality its not an issue

Kid went from wanting revenge on Shanks, then wanting revenge on Kaido, then wanting revenge on Apoo which all went no where. Oda writes on the spot so the rivalry is forced because Oda doesn't plan ahead. He doesn't worry what is going to happen 20 chapters from now. Oda doesn't write characters, he instead writes plots. The plot is going to drive the character and in most instances it leads to character inconsistency. Oda wanted to write the rivalry because it is hype, not because it makes sense. Oda story is about hype, hype, hype, hype, hype, and more hype. But Oda Greenbull came to Wano specifically for the strawhats, why is he running away from Shanks? Because it is hype. But Oda why did Shanks come to Wano to only leave the next chapter without doing anything? Because it is hype! There is no story in One Piece, it is just hype.

Vegeta was never treated as much of a threat compare to Goku. Respected? Lol I wouldn't go that far. Vegeta was a better character than both kid and law but dbs kind of ruin it for me.

Considering bounties represent the threat level the world government sees the said individual no one can convince me Law or Lid should be on the same bounty as Luffy.
Luffy:
- Is a D
- Son of Monkey D Dragon and Grandson of Garp
- Invaded all 3 of the World Government strongholds.
- Has the Nika Nika fruit
- Has numerous crew over 100 hundred million bounty.
- Defeated numerous warlords and has one previous one in his crew.
- Has CoC
- Defeated Kaido solo
- Has the only person in the world who can read the ancient language in his crew.
- Has a grand fleet of 5600
- Has FI and Wano countries linked to the void century under his control.
Law
- Is a D
- Has the Ope Ope fruit
- Was a warlord
- Defeated Big Mom as a partnership with Kid.
Lid
- Has a magnet fruit
- Has CoC
- Helped defeat Big Mom with Law.

Of course It's forced. Luffy alone can't make the new gen. There needs to be more people there. So, now you have Kid and Law.
Let's imagine a sequel. Shanks' child sets out to become a the next PK. People of OPVerse will tell him stories of how Eustass Kid was Pirate King Luffy's biggest rival. Eustass Kid does something heroic/hype and dies. Two years later, Shanks' child finds out that it wasn’t Eustass Kid, but Marshall D. Teach who was Luffy's biggest rival.
This type of thing is what Oda has been doing for a while now.

Luffy is the best one guys vote for Luffy these 2 are trash and their crews are not important, fuck it I'll change Luffy into a Zoan God"
