While oda could technically just have zoro and sanji go the same route as luffy when it comes to strengthening his haki with powers like internal destruction or future sight i personally doubt he will

I think wano is likely good insight into how oda will choose to develop their haki. Specially when it comes to their armament


Luffy just developing it in a more linear fashion getting the most advanced form of armament with internal after unlocking external

Zoro through having external armament (something he’s had since daz) + enma strengthens his armament by increasing his output and overflow to the point he

Sanji having the most basic form of armament but instead of specifically boosting it he stacks the toughness of armament with the toughness of his exoskeleton to develop ifrit


I think that that pattern might also apply to their other forms
  1. Luffy more directly just upgrading his haki
  2. Zoro through mastering blades that effect haki
  3. Sanji stacking scientific upgrades with his haki

Imo Blackbeard and his crew will be the ones the monster trio need to strengthen their observation skills against
  1. Luffy needing to directly improve his observation haki
  2. Zoro maybe mastering wado (enma’s opposite and sister blade) to somehow counter Shiryu
  3. Sanji maybe getting another science/lineage factor boost he can stack with his haki

As for why I didn’t mention conqueror specifically infusion?
  1. I personally think there’s more to conquerors than infusion
  2. Infusion is the most common compared to future sight and internal destruction
  3. Sanji is likely to get it


Roger and Xebec had 4 conquerors under them each 3 main commanders and an apprentice. So luffy is definitely going to have at least 2

Imo i think all the m3 will get a unique haki.
Luffy- I think VOAT will be tied into haki and already seems to be blooming a new haki in this recent chapter. Overall I agree Luffy's basic haki all just follow a direct upgrade without any special features about his haki. I think his blooming haki will be his haki mixing with his df to create a unique haki for luffy. Someone like Kata already did this with kaku mochi where he mixed coa with his df to Amp himself and make his attacks stronger.

Zoro- the most obvious are black blades and him having haki overflow that even grants him a green coa aura. Zoro will be 1 of the few with black blades and he's the only character that has a coa aura. I think zoro will also get a unique CoO ability once he either fights mihawk or shiryuu. There's still nothing about his eye when it could be so easily explained as a injury from training. Imo it's still training from Mihawk that he wouldn't open it until he was strong enough to challenge him for wss.

Sanji- I think Sanji's power of love ability will be shown as a unique haki ability. It might be so unique that it effects all 3 haki's when sanji uses it. We seen gaban has adcoc and fs so I think sanji will gain coc and fs as well. Imo sanji will be able to Amp his haki and to do unique things with power of love. I also do think his haki's will tie into is exoskeleton. Once he unlocks coc he'll like gain a new dj form as well imo.

You got it all wrong Sky-chin...
It is not about how many tricks you can do but how good you are in those you can do.
Luffy is a jack of all trades, master of none.
Zoro has all 3 types of haki at advanced level but that is not what matters, what matters is that he is significantly better than Luffy at those things.
Luffy's Observation sucks and that's why he has FS and even with it he still gets hit 100 times more than Zoro does because Zoro's observation is far better.
Luffy's Armament sucks that's why he is looking for replacement techniques like ID because he cannot damage tough exterior while Zoro's Armament is far stronger and he has no need for such inferior techniques.
Splitting the sky is all nice and good but the manga has wanked splitting Kaido's dragon scales permanently far above sky splits.
Ultimately, the stronger character possesses a stronger Conquerors so yes, Zoro is a hakiman while Luffy is a wannabe hakiman aka a DF merchant and even at that, Zoro's Demon God beats him because it is the pinnacle of existence, confirmed by Imu.
There is nothing where Luffy is better than Zoro. :luuh:

I get your point but calling something a pattern at hand of the first sample doesn't add up.
There's no real pattern behind it for Sanji and Zoro. They just got very powerful PUs that laid out a top tier lvl foundation, while playing into already existing skills and their specialties - AP/speed stack and high AP stack - and that's just it.
Your pattern excludes them from learning advanced haki types, even though it's the most or second most prominent ability concept in this verse.

Some things we need to consider:
1) Zoro has peer pressure in a sense, thanks to Mihawk: He has to get to that lvl and I'm pretty sure that Mihawk has CoO much better than Zoro right now, besides a black blade.

2) Metal trio is actually a pattern/point of comparison (PK+Wings). I see a reverse Ray and Gaban happening: Sanji gets ID CoA - needing DC against Pizarro - and Zoro gets FS against Shiryu.
This gives them a non gimmicky and versatiled overall boost- the final polish.

Sanji already got science boosts, I don't see a need for further upgrades, he can improve his haki which in conjuction with his germa enhancements will take him far. Future Sight and improving his armament should be good for the near future as power-ups. Gaban having COC increases the chances for Sanji and if it's a requirement to put down immortals then I could see ACOC as a power-up later in the story.

Zoro seems pretty well-rounded already, I guess just getting stronger with the tools he has, maybe some decent fights can push him further but until Shiryu I don't see how he would need a major power-up (and even then I imagine it'll be a matter of improving his observation haki and not him lacking in the tools he has aside from it). The black blade can come after that perhaps against Mihawk or just before.

Luffy could definitely work on his G5 time limit. Aside from that, I guess just improving his haki further. He couldn't get passed Warcury's tough defense, maybe now's a good time to take his offense a step further.

Then of course with the immortal enemies and Gaban around to give advice, they may all apply whatever technique Gaban's making use of (unless it's simply ACOC then Luffy and Zoro wouldn't need to change anything).

Luffy splitting Skies doesn't mean Jackshit lmao , Yamato only used Conqueror like twice against Kaidou.

Given the internal damage effects of Sanji's fire kicks, one would think CoA Internal Destruction would be a good fit, and perhaps it is for Sanji at his peak, but I don't know how likely it is he'll unlock that by or during the final battles of the series. It's the highest level of CoA and two people have been shown to use it.

I'd be more than happy with CoA Emission adding range to his arsenal, whether h rips off Rankyaku for his own ranged attacks or not.

CoC Infusion seems to be a pretty instinctive type of technique. Sanji potentially having it would be especially interesting given he's a combo fighter, speedster with an exoskeleton, regen, fire abilities and flight. CoC could potentially have interesting influences on all of those and more.
