Powers & Abilities Luffy's "joyboy" form might be temporary.

It is clear by this point that the post TS arcs have had many similarities with pre ts arcs.

-Early East Blue/ Sabaody archipelado
Gathering the crew arc.
-Arloong park/Fishmen island
Both arcs deal with fishmen and discrimination, the east blue part we deal with fishmen discriminating humans for being weaker and on fishman island we get to see the other side of the story, both are important arcs for Nami and happen right befre the crew set out to the next step on Luffy's adventure to become PK, that being grand line/new world.
-Whisky peak/punk hazard
Both are minnor arcs that serve to set up the next major saga of the manga, both are arcs where the crew meet a prince/princess of a kingdom threatened by a major power in the world who joins the crew temporarely.
-Alabasta/Dressrosa
The similarities on this one are too many, from meeting a princess and helping her save her country, to Luffy meeting his brother... Even the rank of the enemy Luffy faces, only real diference is that Doffy already succeeded in taking the country while rocodile was about to do it.
-Skypea/Zou
Lands with a distinctive race of people that cant easily be found anywhere else, we got important information about polneglyphs as well on both arcs, specialy about their relation with Roger and Laugh Tale.
-Ennies Lobby/WCI
Crewmate gets "kidnaped", and has to be saved.
-Thriller Bark/Wano
Arc where a new nakama joins the crew after a long time, Ryuma and Oars land....And most important to this thread...
A temporary transformation for Luffy that powers him up enough to easily destroy the massive opponent in the arc thats about to destroy everyone.

I never noticed that these pre-TS and post-TS arcs had so many similarities, lol.
Now that you pointed it out and considering that Kaido has been declared as a winner, it seems like Joyboy will really be a one-time thing just like Nightmare Luffy was. I guess the victor will be Joyboy instead of Luffy.

I don’t get what are you even trying to say in this thread
Are you trying to minimise this transformation?
this thing that is happening (awakening as an ancient figure) is something completely new to the series, no matter how similar this arc is to the past ones it’s irrelevant topic

The very fact of you guys comparing this huge story twist, to nightmare Luffy, tells volumes about your bias
There is no bias whatsoever - he said that this twist could be just temporary, especially if it is Joyboy's spirit itself and not Luffy.
In that case, you can be already 100% sure that this is a one-time thing. Do you even know what bias is? :josad:

Soo assuming Joyboy is indeed taking control of Luffy, you honestly think Luffy will be able to call upon joyboy to fight for him everytime he wants?
:choppawhat:
And is letting joyboy or warever took hold of his body fight his battles for him something Luffy would actualy do? Because Luffy doing that is actualy the downplay for his character, hidding behind a bigger power and letting it fight for him....
:suresure::suresure::suresure::suresure:
He likely awakened his DF, but mastering it will likely be his final PU, soo its not something he will get this arc.

Nope it will nto be final Power up. He will master it by the time they land on the new island just as Luffy mastered FS by the time they landed on Wano.

Luffy's final power up was always going to be Advanced CoC. Oda made Luffy a CoC Specialist. Also Roger and Shanks have the final level of COC above coating that allows them to counter the Yonko's who have COC Coating WITH OP devil fruits.

Oda made sure for Rayleigh o state Conquerors Haki grows when the user themselves grow. Meaning Luffy's COC just got a huge jump since Luffy is Awakening his devil fruit.

This level of COC is only available to COC Specialists. Roger and Shanls are CoC Specialists like Luffy.

The third level of CoC is the equivalent of Future sight observation haki and Internal Destruction.

Blackbeard will disable Luffy's Devil fruit. This third level of COC will be used against blackbeard

No he did not, as he was still training his CoO in Udon prison when he was fighting the guards.

The similarities are also different

for example: in Alabasta Croc was almost always in control and had multiple plans in case one failed. In Dressrosa Doflamingo is already being put with his back against the wall and had no plans

He had a good plan in my oppinion, luring Luffy with his deceased brother's DF soo that Law would basicaly have to fight by himself, and it worked, Law almost cornered him but he turned the tables with CP-0.

The two factors Doffy could not see where the revolutionary army, mainly Sabo taking Luffy's place in the fight, and then the legendary God Ussop KOing Sugar. His only real mistake in my oppinion was relying too much on Sugar's power.
