the man lost everything in his life had all the reasons possible to stay hidden and chill and still decided to help Luffy and fight Kaido and his crew

the man confronted the whole marine in its own turf and fought every admiral out there

Marco could have disbanded the WBP or played defense after WB death but no he rallied the troops and went to war to avenge his father and fight Teach

and the man after all he lived through is still kicking and not mental or depressed. Not being a coward at all

Nope, the second the babysitter was gone, Teach forced him to retire. Even when Weevil was going around killing his ex crewmates, Marco was nowhere to be seen.

70% recovered but its just a feeling no real estimate. The main takeaway is King got portrayed massively inferior by arguably the least impressive admiral. Oda did king and queen pretty dirty same treatment as cracker by Kuzan

Took a big part of the community well over a decade, but it's good to see things changing and people Acknowledging, that in the end, Marco was just living off cheap shots and only looked better than his peers against characters far above his paygrade, just because his fruit turns him into an damage sponge for the time being and not because of his battle prowess.

He's a cool dude with a decent fruit, but ultimately still just one of the many mere Coc - less Yonko Commanders

Oda has already hinted that Croc > Hancock by giving him a higher bounty after re-introducing them both at the same time

Generally I believe if there is two characters part of the same group - which are fairly relative in strength, the character with Coc has greater potential...At least that's what I'm getting from Doffy's comment on Luffy being potentially more dangerous than Law.

He is always getting involved in inconclusive skirmishes. At first they look cool but that shit gets old quick especially when you consider the groups he skirmishes with always have the upper hand in the long run. Like compare him with Doffy, Doffy is probably weaker but he makes it up with his influence in the world. Marco honestly lacks that something extra. As a former right hand of WB you just get a feeling a feeling that more should be expected of him.

Is he? Compared to most, Marco is basically the normal non special one. And still reached that high. Shanks is from a line of Holy Knight Celestial Dragons. Buggy started off as a gag, but his origins might end up being very important whether it has to do with Xebec or not.

Even among the commanders, Katakuri is the son of a Yonko while King is from a race with Special powers. Marco in comparison is a ordinary random orphan that ended up with a great Devil Fruit. He's by far the most peaceful of them yet still has a decent bounty, maybe might not have much of an edge in strength, but in terms of fame he is far more renowned than the typical Yonko commander.

You can make a case for YC1s fighting admirals purely thru his feats. That’s respectable. But it’s clear Admirals play on another lvl seen as how Kizaru blitzed a stronger G4 Snakeman than the one Kata faced

Well, we have what we have. The way Oda treated YC is sad, but what can you do. Personally have no problem with Marco being one of the weakest YC1.

We know Marco continued to protect WB’s village from pirates and other dangers while being its doctor. To me thats no different than going around encountering randomass pirates

I still believe Oda chose to portray Kata King and Marco as all closely equal. They are the same age, have similar bounty range, and are RHM of old yonko era. You can make a case for each due to their unique abilities. Kata has CoC and MC rival portrayal, King has god-like race portrayal, Marco is well respected among yonkos

Against top tiers some might fare better than others, Marco would get donuted by Akainu immediately but Kata could dodge him easily. Kata gets speedblitzed by Kizaru but Kizaru has a hard time damaging Marco. That sort of matchup
