There is a reason why Ryuma forged the black blade after countless of battles.
All of us know haki blooms in real battles, not training.
Luffy's and Zoro's haki has grown tremendously during their final battles in Onigashima in less than an hour.
Two long years of training meant nothing at all compared.
Sure, it is possible that Mihawk's black blade was inherited all along, and not forged by himself.
However, I don't think Oda would go this path.
It's going to be even more unthinkable than Luffy dying only to be resurrected by his fruit.
1- yes about haki blooming in fights which does not put mihawk in any way stronger than top commanders cuz he rivaled 1billion shanks only , this is all whay is confirmed all what we saw after that is fraudulent ( joz stopping the strongest hit designed to test wb himself + vista stopping him while he said to himself he will be serious and he was sorry for shanks + buggy clown circus thing with croco and the fear ),
2- its not true about black blade because roger wb and xebec blades are not black, this is the problem
maybe there is some ritual to do to get it black which is not related to power
not true again + zoro got a power up just after changing his black shusui with oden enma, the two things are not related. maybe there is a ritual behind it
and the strongest of this world ( xebec and roger ) dont have black blades the only fraud who have it is the twerker himself gb whihc does honnestly not do your theory a favor.

Whoever thinks YC1 Mihawk already has a black blade is just not thinking properly.
Just because Mihawk made a name for himself doesn't mean he is already at the top.
Any YC1 dueling would become legendary.

Like I said on other threads, it's more likely that Mihawk didn't have the black blade yet when he dueled Shanks, than Shanks not having advCOC. Shanks sailed with Roger and Ray, and was chosen to be the successor of Roger by Roger himself. Shanks should've been able to unlock all haki types at a young age or he is plain talentless.
the reason for that is simple
shanks got then will to really go all out and become his prime self only when he saw luffy, there his mission started, all what he did before that is just fooling around and not trying to become stronger until he met his goal luffy
kizaru will not see shanks, he will be taken careof by one of commanders and they will not be as gente as luffy
it will be death like when garp was taken care of by shiryu

Why did Shanks have to be in close quarters to stop a non-haki metal man Kidd?
I see that you're one of those people who are using the Vista argument still.
1. WSM Whitebeard got literally pierced by Veteran Level Squidward
2. Yonko Big Mom got clowned by Chopper, Robin, Franky, Jimbe.
3. Yonko Kaido got pierced by Veteran-YC2 level characters
4. Shanks literally got his arm eaten by a fish
5. Gorosei got clowned by Giants
6. Kizaru surprised that he got stopped by YC2 Sanji
etc.
Mihawk not taking any kind of damage against YC Vista (who never had major injuries in Marineford despite the opponents, which attest to his strength), all the while contemplating Luffy's true abilities is a way better feat than the top tiers above.

Yet he did not forge a black blade, despite being a swordsman similar to Mihawk and Zoro. Think for a second why Mihawk wasn't in Kaido's top 5. That's right, same reason as why Joyboy isn't, despite Kaido believing Joyboy is the one to defeat him. Mihawk is a tier above those 5, just like Joyboy.

- mihawk said himself that he want to test whitebeard himself so he managed to launch a serious attack as huge that he thinks only a yonko can take but he got blocked by a top commander joz so this just say evrything about mihawk jugement of power + his own power
- mihawk gone seriously against luffy and said himself in his mind that he was sorry for shanks and told luffy that his black blade dont know retention and finally got inhibited by vista and stopped his decision, why?
