I wouldn't mind if he inherited by defeating the previous world's greatest swordsman

But if he was just given it then it wouldn't have as much impact

Hi Worstgen

Modern Black Sword OR Ancient Black Sword??
- Mihawk's Black Cross Blade

So, is Mihawk's Black Cross Blade a newly created Black Sword OR is it an Ancient Black Sword that Mihawk Inherited??

A new Black Sword might not have as much Haki infusion, but an old Black Sword has already had tons of elite swordsman use it and put their Haki in it.

So... Which one do you prefer Mihawk to have?

A) He created it recently and it is his own sword.
B) He Inherited it when he was young and trained by an elite group of swordsman who handed it down to him from past generations of swordsman.

CHOOSE NOW!!

My personal choice is that it's an inherited sword and that the reason why it consumes so much Haki every time someone uses it is because the elevated level of Haki Infusion used on it over generations has caused it to feed on abnormal levels of Haki that an individual person cannot achieve by themselves. In other words, it boosts the strength of a person using it, but people who are too weak to use it might die trying to do it. Similarly to Enma.
Another fan fiction about another "ludbil"
All three swords have the same amount of acoc and ryoo. Zoro can similarly cover three bamboo sticks (or two, or one) like a bird dance. You retarded Lunji-Goofy bitch.

Hi Worstgen,

I noticed you guys are very nitpicky about this sort of thing, but I never thought Mihawk created his Black Blade. I had the distinct feeling he had inherited that sword.

So, there you go. You guys were arguing about how Mihawk made his sword black. Here is an alternative option for you. He didn't. It was already like that before he wielded it.
His sword is painted.

Swords will need a predisposition to get turned into black blades.
Cursed swords probably have some soul/intent/personality. Just like devil fruits alter one's personality. Awakening is simply taking over that entity entirely. Black blades are the equivalent of awakened fruits. But the least people care about the sword itself (like Roger or whitebeard), they only want a cool tool to fight with and a sword is a good choice. I doubt they trained with their sword, infused haki over and over while trying to figure out how to cooperate best with the cursed sword they had.
Some more Matrix-theory behind it but that might be it in simple terms

He stole it from Pinzoro and then had it painted to cover his trace. :gokulaugh:

canon:

you can close these threads and leave the forum @AlmightyGunther
That is not him clearly saying he was the one who turned it into a black blade. He's just saying that blade had become a black blade. That isn't nearly convincing enough for anyone with half a brain.

No. I've seen this rootbeer guy mentioned a few times but I've never seen him.

Also guys I was just saying it was a possibility jfc.

I have nothing against Mihawk lol

Title

There are obviously other swords and you didn't need to be Ryuma or Mihawk to make one.

In fact, I would argue the 12 Supreme Grade Swords existed before Mihawk was even born. I bet almost all of them come from the Void Century!

It's absurd to think all 12 Supreme Grade Swords were made recently. They almost certainly have origins throughout the last 800 years.

And the strongest one.. which I suspect is Mihawk's.. is probably the oldest one.

Note: I would prefer that Mihawk's Black Cross Blade is the most ancient sword among the 12 Supreme Grade Swords. That would imply Mihawk didn't make it, but it also implies it's the strongest sword in the world 🌎 and he inherited it because he was expected to be the WSS... OR he beat someone who had it before and took it.

But I prefer to think Mihawk was a prodigy among elite swordsman who all believed in God (not the God Knights!), so they gave him the sword when they realized he was the most skilled swordsman they ever encountered.

Yoru is the strongest blade because it is the only one out of the 12 to turn black. I think any of the other 12, if they turned black, would be the strongest blade. Maybe it's as simple as that.

Kozaburo, the legendary blacksmith, mentioned to Zoro that Enma could transform into a Black Blade over time. If Enma were to become a Black Blade, it would be classified as one of the Supreme Grade Swords, and the total number of Supreme Grade swords would increase from 12 to 13. The question is that among the top 12 swords, there are weapons that are not black, so by turning black, their classification would increase, potentially surpassing even Yoru.

But Shisui is black

And what other ones do you know of besides Roger's and Whitebeard's?

Shisui, Yoru, Ace, and Murakumogiri are 4/12 of the Supreme Grade Blades. I don't think we have even seen the other 8 of them.

The odds are that some of the remaining 8 will be black already.

Shusui was not one of the twelve before becoming a Black Blade. Shusui was originally an ordinary blade that, when turned black by Ryuma, elevated it directly to the Meito class. The question is, what would happen if Ryuma took Whitebeard's bisento, which is already a Supreme Grade blade and among the top 12, and turned it into a Black Blade? Its classification would rise, potentially even surpassing Yoru.

Yoru's case is as follows:

  • It was one of the twelve Supreme Grade blades before becoming a Black Blade, and upon turning black, it became the strongest blade in the world.
  • It was a Meito that, upon becoming a Black Blade, became one of the twelve Supreme Grade blades (similar to Kozaburou's suggestion with Enma) and became the strongest.
If Shusui were a Meito before becoming a Black Blade, like Enma (upon becoming a Black Blade), it would be classified among the top 12. However, since Shusui is not one of the top 12, it is likely that it was not a Meito before becoming a Black Blade and only achieved that status after turning into a Black Blade.
