Mihawk never wanted to become PK,its Crocodile that has such a dream.

Croc and Mihawk had the exact same reaction to Buggy saying he was aiming for the One Piece

Like it isn't anything definite, but I think the idea here is that the Cross Guild is the second chance for all three of them to achieve a dream that they gave up on

Who fought shanks on his own
Fought stronger and stronger people until he was wss and there was no challengers left on his own

That's what Crocodile implied when he talked to him to get him into co-alliance.

How can someone know PK race is way tougher if he never tried?
Why does he have trust issues if he didn't have allies or friends that betrayed him?
Why is he so shocked about the "ability " to attract others ?
Why is he shocked that Zoro was ready to throw away his dream to help Luffy?

He never had such loyal friends/teammates nor could he lead them since he lacked the willpower & power required.

Every single OG warlord had a crew!
Mihawk got betrayed by his crewmates or friends.
Moriah lost it against Kaido, created zombie army with Absalom.
Croco lost it against WB, then made a new one at alabasta
Jinbei left his crew to join WBP and also became warlord in order to protect his former crew

It make senses tha 3 warlords lost their crews whole 3-4 had a solid loyal or tough crew that can stand by then always

I think that Mihawk just not having good skills as a leader is why he wasn't able to be the pirate king. It requires more than just strength. You can't be the pirate king without a crew

Let me get this straight, WB, Kaido, BM, Shanks, Luffy, BB, and other pirates chasing after PK can fail to achieve their dream and they are not too weak.

Yet, Mihawk, who doesn't care about PK, can achieve his dream of being the WSS, which isn't limited to just pirates, and he's weak?

I find it silly that Shanks would just go somewhere to clash one man over and over.
