I’m currently reading Ippo after it was sitting in my reading list for 2 years. It’s like slam dunk in the fact that people like me who don’t like sports manga can still enjoy it.

There just way too many chapters and it make me relate to why so many upcoming manga/anime fans don't want to start One Piece..

I can feel you. It took me dozens of hours to catch up, but the plot isn't so harsh as One Piece where it generally would take hundreds unless you don't want to become an hardcore fan. :)

So technically this manga is pretty long but the read is less entangled from my point of view when compared to other mangas.
