The first 4 movies are kinda good or even great (1 and the 4th)

but after that it became worse and worse

The books (5/6/7) became so dense and big it was impossible to adapt them with one movie so the movies parted away from the books and took way too much liberties

Wasn't the 4th book (Goblet of Fire) as large as the rest of the books that followed after? To this day I still have no idea how it was adapted successfully in one single movie when the book was thick enough that it possibly warranted the movie(s) to be separated into two parts.

The above point applies to books 5 and 6 as well since both of those books had a ton of content packed into them. It must have taken a tremendous amount work for the directing and the script team to figure out a way to adapt the two books into two separate movies respectively without the finished products being presented as an absolute butchering of the original source material.

The 4th book was big, but the movie managed to adapt it quite well without forgetting/ changing too much of it

the main bulk and events was here and it was quite enjoyable

But from the 5th onward the changes were far too big and numerous to really enjoy those movies

and the directing, action etc was a bit weaker too

Percy Jackson is more entertaining and better than Harry Potter and I hope the new show does well.

Also wizards have staffs not wands. Harry and his friends are just glorified magicians.
