What's your point exactly? This is just a devil fruit ability of Nusjuro, not whatever the fuck the OP is trying to wank it into.
The slash reached from one side to the other meaning they should've been cleaved and they weren't, which makes the OP's point valid. Combining ice powers with a slashing attack doesn't prevent you from actually making cuts lmao.

Who says it can't? We're talking about devil fruits here, and we've already seen examples of devil fruit cuts that don't do damage such as with Law, why is it ridiculous for Nusjuro's devil fruit to allow him to freeze something with his cuts instead of damaging them if he so chooses?

This is what I mean by overcomplicating it, it's a devil fruit power and that's it, any further extrapolation like claiming it's this godly sword technique is pointless.

No one does and no one told us it's a devil's fruit ability either so I don't get why you're so sure it is one. Also, Law's fruit does exactly what it supposed to do, it allows the user to operate on people inside the room. Based on what we know, Gandhi's fruit gives him the ability freeze things, and freezing isn't supported to prevent cuts from happening. So we don't have any reason to think it's obviously a df ability without leaving room for other possibilities.

And why's it so hard to believe it can be attributed to skill? The whole concept of real swordmanship in OP is about being able to cut what you want to cut and not cutting what you don't want to cut. This could be us seeing that in practice.

It's either a devil fruit ability (if the Gorosei are devil fruit users) or a devil fruit-like ability that the Gorosei get, probably from Imu, either way it's the same thing.

Somehow operating on people inside a room equals your cuts not doing damage? Devil fruit abilities are nowhere near as direct as that, for example, Viola can somehow create whales from her tears even though her power is to see far distances and through things... barely even at all connected to each other.

That last part isn't what the OP is arguing though, it could be that thing Zoro mentioned back in Alabasta, but cutting and not cutting aren't the same thing as cutting so precisely that you go between atoms lmfao, that is just sheer wank from overcomplicating it by the OP when the far more likely answer is that it's just his devil fruit ability.

Again, how are we so sure?

The room isn't like your usual operating room though. We're literally told it messes with reality and gives them the power to do whatever they want inside the room. More than anything else, we're told that Law's doing what he does via room, so there's no questioning it. We don't have that here. And it's not like I am saying this can't be a DF ability, I am asking you why you're seemingly hellbent on it being a DF ability when it can easily be a skill.

I'm not hellbent on it, I just consider it more likely.

And if you really want to die on the hill of his ice power not being a devil fruit ability or whatever the equivalent of that is for the Gorosei then go ahead, but expect me to tag you when the time comes to point out how stupid you looked.

You kinda are given how you were acting like a discussion about the other possibilities isn't even up calling them overcomplicated explanations when it's not even that complicated to begin with. I am not dying on any hill lmao. Just adding ice to your attacks does not prevent cuts from happening unless the manga says so—that's common sense lmao.

I wouldn't say refusing to be close-minded and accepting there can be more than one possibility would make me look stupid. It's not like I am against it being a DF ability like you are about it being a skill. I am fine with it either way.

How the fuck is infering that Nusjuro can cut so cleanly that he slices between atoms not overcomplicating it? What indicates that that has happened in his feat? Absolutely nothing, it's like the furthest possible interpretation you could make solely for wank.

But I'm not against it being a skill feat you clown, I already responded to you earlier saying it could be whatever skill shit Zoro mentioned in Alabasta, it's just considerably more likely to be a devil fruit ability and that's it.

I do not see how it's complicated besides you calling it such for the sake of it as it triggers you to see someone say anything remotely positive about someone related to Zoro. The fact that he sliced through them and still didn't make any cuts indicates that has happened in the feats lmao. Not cutting what you don't want to cut is like the most basic shit we've learned all the way back in Alabasta like you said for yourself. It's likely that we're seeing that in practice here.

Appeal to motive fallacy? Idgaf about it making Zoro or someone related to Zoro look good, saying he's slicing between atoms simply because his swing froze a target instead of slicing them in half is literally the definition of reaching, it has no basis whatsoever.

And cutting or not cutting whatever you want has never once been stated or implied to involve cutting between fucking atoms, that shit has just been entirely pulled out of your ass.

I don't think you're in any position to talk about appealing to motive fallacy lmao

You sure invest a lot of energy into this for someone who doesn't give a shit. You're even getting triggered by simple answers lmao. As I said earlier, the fact that there was no cut gives the basis for a discussion.

That's how trying to explain things that you don't fully understand usually happens. You just propose your own theory and try to rationalize it in your own way. Whether you're right or not is a different story altogether. The question here is, why's a simple explanation triggering you so much for someone who doesn't care?

It would be cool if he took the "choose what to cut" thing to the extreme. Meaning, he could cut you but not fully cut you.

Like, but your tendons internally but not cut off your leg, just an interesting application of internal destruction or the like. Getting ahead of myself, but that would be a unique spin on swordsmanship

Don't feign ignorance when it's revealed to be what it is, a devil fruit ability.

On what basis you say it's a df power?

Brook can freeze people and it's a skill and not his df so what makes you think what Venus did isn't swordsman skill but his df?
