Powers & Abilities Nasujuro might not be a swordsman

#1
Not every sword user considers themselves a swordsman.

This was confirmed with King, who while being extremely skilled with the Katana, used a mixed fighting style that combined punches, kicks, and his zoan powers.

I think it is extremely likely that this is Nasujuro's fighting style. While Nasujuro no doubt has a katana, when he actually needed to fight, he turned to his DF powers.

Nasujuro clearly seems to be a mythical zoan. His form looks exactly like Luffy's gear 5th, indicating that this is some form of mythical hito hito no mi.

If we look at how varied and free flowing Luffy's fighting style is in G5, it just makes no sense for Nasujuro to be a traditional swordsman if he has a similar DF.

Anyways I bring this up because a lot of people are using the existence of characters like Nasujuro to claim that Mihawk is a fraud, which imo is slander. Similarly, a lot of Zoro fans are opposed to Nasujuro being Zoro's final fight, despite the chronology heavily suggesting it, out of fears that it would make Mihawk fraudulent.

However, I think if you look at how Nasujuro is set up, you will see that this is the complete opposite from the truth. Rather than being some sort of shadow WSSM that proves Mihawk fraudulent, Nasujuro is portrayed as a DF master, wielding an awakened mythical zoan. While his style will definitely incorporate swordsmanship, the focus is on Nasujuro's DF, not his sword. That's why he doesn't have a black blade.

In his fight against Mihawk, Zoro will prove himself to be the world's strongest swordsman. However that isn't his full dream. As with Luffy, Zoro has a secondary dream.

Zoro doesn't want to merely become the greatest living swordsman, he wants to be such a great swordsman that his name will even be known in heaven. The only way for Zoro to have his name be known in heaven, is for him to defeat a god. In his fight with Nasujuro, Zoro will do this very thing. He will slay a god and become known, not merely as the greatest swordsman of his era, but of all time.

When all options are shut, >maybe hes not a swordsman is always the last straw to grab onto. :milaugh:
I told you Baron doesnt fit the bill of >Zoro's name reaching the heavens, he is part of a group of 5.
That disqualifies him automatically from that task because beating other 4 would make others achieve the same.
And we know Oda designed SHs dreams so they are only achievable by them individually and nobody else.

I'm just bringing this up because the World Government is the final antagonist and Zoro almost always fights a subordinate of the main villain. So him fighting Nasujuro in the final war is all but guaranteed.

Him not being a swordsman is a legitimate argument because he is a confirmed DF user, unlike Shanks. Zoan DFs specifically change the user's body, and hence he'd need to have a varied fighting style to make full use of a zoan(see: King).

Zoro's dream is that he will be a sword master so great that his name reaches the heavens. That involves 1) being a sword master and 2) having his name reach the heavens. If the other gorosei aren't defeated by sword masters, then they don't have Zoro's dream.

Furthermore, if Nasujuro is the strongest gorosei(which he probably is), then none of the 4 others will reach Zoro's heights.

Also, there are others who's names should reach heaven alongside Zoro.

Kid and Law were likened to wisdom kings in wano.

Sanji is also hinted to be a massive thorn in the side of the WG.

But none of those people are Sword masters, so none of them will be taking Zoro's dream.

Nasujuro is likely the 3rd strongest character in One Piece history. With only Imu and Joyboy being above him.

If Zoro defeats him, he will be the strongest swordsman, not only alive, but in history.

Mercury is the strongest Gorosei.

Two things:
1 - I am pretty sure WG isnt the final antagonist.
2 - Baron isnt unique enough to make Zoro's name reach the heavens.

You cant say Zoro's name will reach the heavesn for beating a Gorosei while other 4 guys who will beat Gorosei as well wont have their names reach the heavens. Even if Baron is strongest among Elders, his status is shared by other 4.
I think Zoro's name reaching the heavens can only be accomplished by beating/killing one of these 3:
1. Awakened Kaido - ZKK happens as the build-up is still there.
2. Death - the Grim Reaper that appeared briefly in Wano appears to be Zoro's ultimate obstacle.
3. Imu - Killing the puppet master behind the shadows of the world, a guy with a possible Western Dragon(Kaido replacement in build-up) or Dragon Dragon fruit, mythical model Leviathan.

Nobody else can make his name reach the heavens.
It has to be something that cannot be accomplished by anyone else.
Beating an Elder will be accomplished by 4 other guys.

Nasujuro is likely the 3rd strongest character in One Piece history.
His strength doesnt really play a role, he can be the strongest in the whole world.
His status doesnt fit the bill, as long as he is just one of the five.

The thing is, we don't know much about Nasujuro at this moment. King technically had the same status as Jack, they were both All Stars/Calamities. But there was a world of difference in terms of how those two were portrayed.

The same is bound to happen to Nasujuro and the rest of the gorosei.

Nasujuro's DF will likely be special, even amongst the gorosei.

Also, the V in his name is written the same way as the D.
