Dirk was a known choker before his big finals run KAT is just following in his footsteps
Dirk even before the 2011 Championship has been to the Conference Finals 7-8 times in his career, and a finals appearance in 2006. And compared to KAT has almost always been in the playoffs outside of his final years

Its pure disrespect for KAT to call himself the greatest shooting big man of all time and come up empty in big games time and time again

It´s the "stat" culture, iirc he has slightly better 3P average and took slightly more shots, all in regular season though.
Claiming KAT is best big man shooter is like claiming Westbrook is top 2 best player ever because he is only the second dude to average a triple double in the regular season.
It disregards the average level in the league when he played, how he acquired the stats and in what context, against what kind of defense, especially since regular season in this generation is really semi serious most of the time and so forth, what kind of shots you are taking and the list goes on.

And both KAT and Westbrook, in a serious post season context.... well everybody can see for themselves.

For the stat lovers though, this is for you:

D

Dragomir

The area inside the 3 point line but outside the paint/below the basket.

Defending the perimeter means not letting them get to the basket. Paint defence is essentially the goalkeeping equivalent, which is try to prevent them from scoring close to the basket.
I see, thank you!
@Dragomir why did you reset the poll
Because the previous one was outdated.

Best big man shooter ever :suresure:
Let’s compare KAT’s playoff run this year to MVP Dirk against a worse Warriors team not defending KAT but this is ridiculous.

you're only comparing 1 playoff season between both players instead of Dirk's 15 seasons of playoffs to KAT's 2. KAT has also averaged more fouls than points in the last 2 games since the 1st game seems to be an anomaly at this point of the series

Also that Warriors team was coached by Don Nelson in 2007 who just coached Dirk seasons ago and knew every single one of his weaknesses and therefore knew how to shut it down. And for his playoff runs, all it took was 1 season of winning (2010-11) to rectify his reputation and until KAT shows that he can actually perform in the playoffs no one will take him seriously

happy for my fellow Robert 😅
