About the 2015 finals, why did Iggy win it over Steph? I didn't watch the games.

Yes, I didn't watch the game, just saw the stats. Your point?
Puh, partly deserving, partly narrative, partly hate on Steph.

Essentially, the opinion was that through the insertion of Iggy as starter in game 4 and main defender of Lebron, Warriors came back from trailing 2-1 and won it in six.
And offensively Iggy had good stats (i think over 20 points) in crucial games 4 and 6.

Meanwhile Steph had average over 26 points in the series, but had a weak game in game 2 iirc, a game the warriors should have won but in the end lost.

So it was very circumstantial and narrative driven, Kerr (or rather his coaching team) made the genius decision to put the veteran in who then defended the best player in the world...
Not that i want to take anything away from Iggy but without him, they still might have won, without Steph, they aint even in the finals since he is the crucial point of the entire offense.

I see. I heard multiple times about how Lebron was the true FMVP of that series and if that's the case then doesn't that kind of diminish Iggy's defense on him? Cause if the guy you're defending was the real FMVP then how truly impactful was your defense on him?

Hope the dubs can close it out next game. Praying to dear God that they don't try to fuck around so they can close it out at home instead like they've been doing all the previous series. Get it done in 6. Nobody wants a game 7 (bar haters and Celtics fans).

I have to check that but from what i remember, Lebron went from shooting 50% with average in the mid thirties points to shooting mid 30% after Iggy came in.

I suppose that would be in due some of his defense but...
Pure hate from the media, they didnt want to give the "small" guy his credit. Lebron averaged 35 points and 8 assists on Iggy
Bruh, that's damn near negligible defense. Is the argument here that Lebron would have gone 40/12 a game or something if not for Iggy?

Warriors got me worried there in the 3rd quarter...

Nice to see the team stepped up after Curry carried them in game 4.
that Poole buzzer beater 3 at the end of the 3rd completely killed the Celtics momentum, and maybe down the line the turning point of the series.

rn I have Warriors in 6 unfortunately but hopefully Tatum and/or Brown have the game of their lives on Game 6 and force a Game 7

key defense on LaBron and clutch scoring in Games 4-6 when Iguodala was used more turned and it changed the momentum of the series. Curry was still contributing but not at the level of a 'superstar'

as for 2016-17 and 2017-18, KD pretty much went god mode (~38 PPG) while Curry was good but not great (28 PPG but mixed w/ some below 10-20 point games)

Game 6 klay incoming??? Nah I think it goin 7 then we see game 6 klay in that one lol also people been telling draymond to stop focusing on his podcast and they one win away from the championship :suresure:it didn't bite his team in the ass yet haters betta hope it does in these last 2 games

In the second GSW title Steph had one point less average than Durant

y'all did admirably considerably the circumstances (especially after the RJ Barrett game winner🤣 ). A reminder you still don't technically have a starting PG (Marcus Smart is really a combo guard) and you got this far. And if it makes you feel better, Miami would have been swept before the 4th game if they went to the Finals

speaking as a sad Knicks fan, even in the loss , just appreciate the moments now that you have, you never know if it'll ever come back

Steph Curry, top 10 all time :finally:

Please dont compare him with that bum KD anymore
he wasn't in the same conversation the moment he left OKC during the 2016 offseason

also I'd say at this point both Tatum and Brown are on an equal level

I think we're fine with smart, problem is scoring. Outside of the Jays we just have a bunch of role players and 36 year old center. We need to find a way to get a 3rd option, preferably one that can play PG for extended periods of time and can shoot a 3.

We got really far when nobody saw it coming so I guess that's the silver lining(even though I knew by feb we were making the finals) but to lose like this is really pathetic, we beat ourselves over and over again. Also we gave a ring to the biggest bitches in the world, Dray and Klay
