That the worst thing

we all know that GS would have still be an insane team after 2016 without KD

and with good back up they would have won 2016/2017 and even after

even 2015/2016 the Warriors were likely the better team

KD joining was like cheating, and yeah they beat down the league for two years, but it didn’t feel the same way at all
My point is Steph has showcased he can stay through adversity and has genuine love/loyalty for the team. He just wanted the greatest team ever which is what they achieved.

Lebron history with Cleveland is indeed particular and special

hate/love relationship but indeed an eternal one

it’s different than Steph or Kobe but it isn’t less strong I think
Definitely more special and unique than any other relationship but cavs fans dont show love to bron the same way it happens with the fanbases of the 3 aforementioned players/teams

Well said. It's mostly the Mainstream media, clutch affiliates, and Bron stans who try to spread that bs. A lot of rewriting history. Even with Barnacles back on the squad Warriors have a legit chance of winning the next year let alone replacing him with more talent. The Cavs needed a historic 3 games ontop of Curry being at 70%, with Bogut down, and Iggy with half a back to win by one possession, doesn't take a genius to figure out that just being healthy alone means Warriors win, but it's hard to guarantee health so to be on the safe side you'd logically replace Barnes with a high lvl piece.

Anyhow 2019 if Klay doesn't get injured they have a legit shot at beating Raps. And in 22 they won with Wiggins as the 2nd best on the team. Speaks for itself. Warriors were going to continue to dominate in the late 2010s regardless.
They definitely would have beaten the Raps if Klay didn’t get injured imo. The momentum was on their side. Fuck 2019, imagine if that never happened to Klay. Steph would have a three-peat, and will probably have around 6 to 7 rings right now. Players like Podz, Poole, Hield, all of them are just way inferior versions of prime Klay tbh. Jimmy was the one good trade they had in years, and it is too late.

Love is a complicated thing

But Bron and Cleveland is an history for the ages

the face of the Cavs forever

But yeah it was rowdy ride

Yeah Steph is loyal and faithful to the Dubs

But the way he won the 2017/2018 titles put a sour taste in everyone throat

wanting to win is normal and wanting the best player is normal but like this ? A bit too cheap for me

that doesn’t mean Steph isn’t incredible

I don’t like him because I was always rooting for the opposing team but the man too strong and one of the all time best no doubt

That game was clearly rigged. Not even a debate.
Yeah everyone knows. Man got 5 fouls in 16 minutes lol. He also got a flagrant. I dont think he ever got 6 fouls or a flagrant in his entire career other than that match.

he isn’t top 5 PG in history for me
He is not. You cant be a top 5 of all time without winning anything. Zenzu overrates him because he loves the way CP3 plays. Its the same Kizaru story again.

A lot of the mainstream analysts still gatekeep him from top 10. He’s the greatest PG of all-time in accomplishments and ability. He just doesn’t stat pad lol, could have broken all the records in his prime if that was his goal.
tbh i have him slightly below Magic Johnson tbh until he gets a 5th ring

Warriors were gonna be title contenders regardless so that's not an adversity. GSW was targeting KD since 2015 itself and so WAS LEBRON AND THE CAVS. 2009-2014 and 2020-2021 where there were real adversities, Steph never called quits unlike the other superstars.

There's a reason why the Bay loves Curry more than any other city loves any other current player. It's the same with Dallas with Dirk and LA with Kobe. You don't get that without loyalty and a genuine connection with a fanbase. Miami fans treat LeBron like a mercenary and LA fans love him but not as much. Only Cleveland fans have that deep connection but nowhere near the same magnitude. KD is hated by half the fanbase of every team he's played for. Only Warriors fans love him (they adore him irl don't let the internet beef fool you) but then again there's like 3 other players they love more.
Warriors were pretty vulnerable after losing in the 2015-16 Finals and Cavaliers were probably on track to beat them in a few more finals after "figuring them out", well until they managed to get KD and blew everything out of proportion

ZenZu

The only one who can beat me is me
Hate that little snake
The man behavior is something else

But a real solid player, but a bit overrated for me

he isn’t top 5 PG in history for me
List your top 5 Point Guards of all time.

KD joining the Bay in 2016-2017 hurt a bit that statement

Golden state had the best team and yet Steph was cool with KD joining them

It’s not a « natural » way of winning at all

Steph not a saint
That was also him winning naturally, signing a free agent who wants to play in that Warriors system because of how Steph leads his team. I'm talking about KD and Lebron running away from adversity, not signing a free agent to their homegrown team they brought from the dump.

When you recruit the 3rd best player in the league who pressured you like hell last year and when you have already the best team in the league and led 3-1 in finals : it’s not winning naturally

KD has never not played in a stacked team his entire career, it's actually crazy how he has only played with HOF guards at every stage of his career, nothing less.
The players of the previous generation all had pretty crazy teams tbh

It's damn near impossible for a team like that to exist now

Back in the day you could have 2 MVP caliber players on 1 team. We haven't had a team that good in the league since 2019

Yes which is why Steph is > Magic for me. Magic is a bit higher on the accolades but Steph's lvl is a bit too high, he has multiple rings without a top 75 teammate, and even won in 22 with a borderline lottery roster.

if you gave Steph KAJ (the literal greatest Center of all time) his entire career, he might have 7+ rings. Steph is just the better player, you can argue Magic is "greater" but even then I honestly think Steph changed the game more than Magic ever did.
