Speculations Next Flashback stop: Fisher Tiger's raid

I’m not totally sold on the whole "Harald was a slave" idea yet, but honestly it would be pretty cool if they took his words literally and Harald actually agreed to become one.

Something like: “Be a slave for 100 years and the giants’ past crimes will be forgiven.”

We know Harald died 14 years ago on Elbaf, and he never came across as the kind of guy who’d suddenly grow a spine and just bail from Marijoa. So something must have pushed him over the edge. Something worse than losing his closest friend.

And 15-16 years ago a huge event went down on Marijoa:

Fisher Tiger’s raid.

Maybe Harald got inspired by Fisher Tiger’s actions and started helping him. Maybe that’s when he finally realized what the World Government really was. So he escaped Marijoa, went back to Elbaf, and started looking for allies amongst those connected to Xebec. That could be why he suddenly wanted peace with Big Mom, leading to the whole Lola-Loki marriage idea.

Then Lola ran away, everything went sideways and Harald and Big Mom ended up clashing on WCI. That could be when the homie shield Goldberg uses got stolen. Once the WG found out what Harald was trying to pull off, they decided to get rid of him.

Is all of this connected? Are we finally getting the full Fisher Tiger raid on panel? :hope:

There are more flashbacks? :crazwhat:
I thought we were done with them...
Lol

- If he doesnt complete them in this one, Blackbeard and Shanks need more
- Dragon absolutely will get one. Maaaybe it involves Akainu somewhere. Definitely involves Tritoma
- Void Century will be the longest probably.

Beyond those who knows

He's not talking about becoming a literal slave like the Celestial Dragons have in Mariejois... he's just saying he'll obey whatever the WG tells him to do.

Nobody has made the theory that Harald wasn’t transformed and legit killed the 100 soldiers himself because he's a racist against his own people. He's using the same rhetoric as the WG rn, " it’s because we are giants that we're violents. I think he's one of those kings that turned crazy. I believe he's even joining the godknights next chapter and he might kill a bunch of violent non elbaph giants like the one in 1166.

Why could it work ? Because we have been shown domi reversi multiple times and it’s making us, the readers, biased for this to be the reason Harald fought against Loki ( or his soldiers. )
The thing is, Harald didn’t need to be domi reversi to serve the WG, he proposed himself willingly, thus it would be interesting to see the WG's rethorics being the cause of their faillure. Harald was turned into such a self racist that he decided to kill all the warriors of Elbaph by himself in order to turn Elbaph into a peaceful nation with only the educated kids and giants left.
It’s also making me think of the Vegapunk SBS answer, becoming a celestial dragon can be a wish deep down for almost everyone even though you hate them. Well, the personnality that, for example, Dory and Brog have right now through DR is also something they already had within them. Then it means Harald might have just reached that point without Imu's help.

HK Harald would be a great twist, Shamrock tried to recruit Loki after all. Domi Reversi is imposed, the Abyss mark must be accepted willingly. I really like it, it would also explain the attack on WCI: Imu asked Harald to take the RPG.

14 years ago Imu took over HK Harald but the giant soldiers refused to follow some foolish order and tried to kill him. Loki defeated Imu-Harald but he didn't want to stain any further his father's name.

This would mean no Fisher Tiger though :sighting:

Do you think it’s possible Harald did all of this without ever being turned by Imu ? Or is this 100% a domi reversi ? I think it could be interesting if Harald just got slowly turned into a WG puppet without ever being turned.

Harald doesn't seem the type of person to follow unquestionably the will of someone else. He may be a fool but he is not evil or a puppet.

He did attack Xebec but he barely tried to kill him because he knew it was the wrong thing to do. Probably the WG can convince him to attack pirates like Big Mom or to humiliate himself, but they won't ever push him to hurt civilians or a fellow giant imo.

Domi Reversi or even more so Imu in Harald body (if he accept to become a Holy Knight) seem to be the only reasonable explainations to Loki's silence
