yeah she is busy. also a other issue i always look out for potential crew. is luffy investment/reaction to them.
right now he taken a interest loki similar to zoro,sanji,usopp,chopper etc.
As he even treating Loki as a seat and relaxed, yeah this kid imo wont let loki get away once freed.
the fact he also asking loki good to the other giants, is good sign he interest in loki.
even defending him.
also he gonna feel responsible once he comes back and finds loki bleeding to death similar to ace/stomach wound.
he didn't make it in time, even after getting the key and freeing loki... i can see the guilt come back.
also what funny if luffy does say loki can't die, because he joining... zoro and the other response to luffy "where the hell are you gonna fit him!??" would be hilarious response.

there gonna need someone to fight sanjuan wolf. honestly don't see chopper with his limit timer.
blackbeard having a biggger type giant, and luffy would also have one to with loki being even more rare since he has blood of ancient giant race.
