The figures were made by Bandai in 2012 and the animals choice has nothing to do with Oda, it was the sculptor's vision. The color spread even says it's a collaboration between the two. I wish fandom wiki changed their animals shit cause that's a misinformation * sigh *

Agree and tbh I don't mind, I find her interactions with Sanji hilarious and it's nice to see my boy as a more level headed character :) we could even argue her case that 1) Luffy wad ok with Sanji's wife joining and 2) tecnically, they are married. The question is whether the rest of SH can forgive her.

I still don’t get why people think Yamato is connected to Pluton, her name was just a hint that plutons in the country. Like why would a non wano native be needed for the pluton, wouldn’t kidnapping Momo make 1000000 times more sense than Yamato?

it's about the Greek mythology, where Poseidon is the seas ruler, Pluton the underworld ruler, and Uranus the sky ruler.

the sea ruler is suitable for a sea creature & that creature is a princess, which is Shirahoshi.

the underworld ruler is suitable for an underworld creature & that creature should be a princess like the previous case, Yamato is a demon princess, she perfectly fits these conditions, Momo is not even an underworld creature.

Oda's editor didn't even know Yamato existed before Wano, you really think she's somehow connected to Pluto that first appeared in the plot decades ago? I mean Oda can shoehorn that ofc like he shoehorned her being Ace's buddy but I doubt he will because what's the point now after all the nakama bait is over?
Momo is important character, it says so in Oden's journal and that's why Momo said he needs to survive to do something big when the time comes, and Yamato is an eye candy to stay around Momo because Momo alone isn't interesting enough to keep the readers attention.
Oda didn't even bother to leave anything to discuss when it comes to Yamato, no mystery dialogues, no teasing for something more to be revealed later like with Momo, and we know that Oda likes them hints almost as much as drawing boobs.

Oda constanly uses this zodiac flavour tho, just because he said in an SBS if a strawhat was a certain animal doesn't take away from another animal comparassion.

In the same SBS i think he said Brook would be a horse which aligns with the Zodiac sign, these things aren't written in stone, it's just general links and inspirations you can see. In fact in this colour spread Robin isn't a crane either or Ussop a snake or Brook a horse, but you can read between the lines a bit.


Also the zodiac animals isn't the only evidence of the 13 SH thing. There's WAAAY more evidence of that

I'm not against 13 Straw Hats idea tho. Mostly because we have no evidence to disprove that (still the crew is already too big in my opinion, we don't need more), but all the straw hats as zodiac signs is just a tinfoil hat category, why should I believe in that when we already have sbs written by Oda that debunks the zodiac idea? Yes he uses zodiac signs as inspiration sometimes (a lot of artists do that), or rainbow colors, etc., it doesn't mean he's winking at us with it. Knowing Oda he's capable of doing some of that on purpose because there is no way he is not aware of the most popular theories that are going around.

Also gotta address this.

Carrot got sidelined the hardest out of all the semi important characters. She did nothing the whole raid, her revenge for Pedro was a 2v1 that happens offscreen in which she loses. She doesn't bounce back from it at all, Neko takes over the fight while she's off in the distance painting her finger nails or something. Even the Strawhats who didn't get a fight had something to do at the very least.
