After Yamato, sure, but there's no stronger candidate right now than the girl who:
a) is with the crew right now
b) has nobody/nowhere to go or turn to
c) has lost her own crew
d) seems to fit in seemlessly
e) has just witnessed her father's dying memories/legacy which is almost entirely revolved around Luffy and herself
To be honest, based on the information we have the only people that were more likely to join the crew than her at any given point were the east-blue Nakama.
Edit: Oh and I just found out that the Toshi Toshi no Mi also completes all the theorised Goroawase word-play devil fruit stuff
And do you doubt that somebody would want to follow their version of God?

Bonney sounds like a fun join but I feel like people are jumping the gun again. We know Oda's capable of rug pulls and has done it before, so I just wanna make sure that no one jumps too fast onto a ship that can potentially sink 
I'll believe it when I see it, until then, in my eyes she's not anymore a nakama material than anyone else, plus I really want her and Kuma to be happy together and live peacefully

Ya sounding just the same like yamato. Bonney needs a role, Luffy needs to want her to join, and bonney needs a goal.

Ya need to calm down with the absolute mindset. Oda is a petty troll. It runs in his cultural veins, so just enjoy the story...... I mean, try to enjoy the story because most of his chapters are mid and disspaointing and it takes more than torture porn to convince me the entire story is good otherwise I'd be more of GUTS fan.

To be fair not every SH has haki either, so we can't hold it against her especially with her young age. And even without haki her fruit is damn powerful and could prove useful which is why I'd like to see more of her myself, I just would prefer for her and Kuma to have a happy ending
I'm still hedging all my stocks on Vivi. She's got more relevance than even Bonney via her family's implicit connections to the Void Century, Imu killing her dad, her being a D all along, and her being on the run with direct orders from Imu to have her captured and brought to him.

I am waiting for Oda to first complete the matter regarding Bonney and Kuma, before I think he will tackle the matter of Lucci, Shaka and Vegapunk. Because, if you think about it - Oda has not really dived into Vegapunk's past, yet. And I think this will be the part, in which he also explains, what happened during the time-skip and what Shaka looks like underneath that helmet.
And Oda also said in his Festa-letter for 2024 that the fight between that person and that person will finally happen. "And finally, it will happen. The battle between that character and that character will lead to unexpected results!!" That means that the fight will happen in the next year, not this. Honestly, I think this fight will happen either between Lucci and Saturn or Lucci and Kizaru, whereas the latter is in my opinion more likeable.
Let's wait until the SHPs and Vegapunk & Co. have almost left, then I think we will see a big surprise.
