All this Loki for nakama strangely reminds me of Yamato for nakama.
Traumatic childhood? Check.
Meeting with pirates related to WB and wanting to leave the island? Check.
Emotional crutch as in Oden's diary/Mosa? Check.
Prisoners of their respective island? Check.
Luffy freeing them? Check.
Nakama tease talk? Check.
And we know where Y4N took us.
So I want to see more of the story, but even now I am ready to bet my avi that by the end of Elbaph Loki is NOT joining.
He'd be a major ally at some point, sure, but as a SH? Nah.

There salty because they fell for the red herring yamato who was introduced late wano arc instead of the starting arc. She was a red herring.
Now we see power level as excuse to why Loki can't join, As main copium reason.
Luffy excitement, adoration towards loki. The way luffy trying to recruit/help loki is similar to zoro and luffy early arc.

Gaban lives in Elbaph does he not? Gaban said no one in Elbaph could stop Loki until Shanks showed up. Loki was doing what he wants cause no one could stop him. Gaban was there the whole time, vouched for his strength, warned Luffy that he doesn't know the power Loki has, and didnt want him free until he was convinced Luffy could handle it.
