Momo is not interested leaving wano though. That where Yamato comes in. Momo wants to rule the land. Yamato wants to go adventure herself with the straw hats. Plus, I do not think luffy or rest crew would allow Momo to join them. Knowing where there heading and enemies there going up against is risky for a childlike Momo join them.

There is no reason (apparently) for Momo to join the crew right now.

But there are 2 reasons that may occur in the future. I wrote above what these are.

I think Yamato is unlikely to come. Because new crew members usually appear at the beginning of the arc. Along the arc, the character plays an important role. But Yamato came out a little late. I don't know, I prefer Yamato. But she doesn't quite fit the new crew member template.

Yamato fits just fine. Just because they showed up later in the arc doesn’t mean they don’t fit.

Wano is a massive arc spanning two islands and Yamato was first mentioned close to the beginning of Onigashima then was introduced shortly after where we then got plenty of time to learn her character/goals/desires.

Yamato has the best chance of any person in onigashima to join the straw hats no contest.

Just how close to the beginning? Jinbei wasn't, Robin wasn't, Chopper towards the middle, Franky not the beginning.

We met Chopper beginning drum island arc(how to be middle?)

Jimbei different, but he was important figure in fisherman arc.

Why so important of beginning? What is difference?

I think it's about Oda's style. A member of the crew is initially involved in the story, for a long time the character is processed and joins the crew. So if Oda had wanted to add Yamato to the crew, She would have been in the story earlier. But instead she got involved in the conclusion.


Let me also say that this is not a certain opinion. The room may have changed its method this time. Perhaps he thought it was better to include Yamato in the story in this way than cliché methods. But there is a difference with the old.
