And Oda said otherwise. Oda didn't spend the last 20 chapters, kicking both Zoro and Luffy to the groundfloor, then bring him to the top in 1 fell-swoop, only for him to end up back down fighting King otherwise.

Though no, i don't really think it will be quite as simple as kicking him back down next chapter. This could go in too many ways to be worth speculating, but there's still a lot of ground to cover until the final, final confrontation between Luffy and Kaido begins.

Ngl, Oda's doing some dumb shit for his round number moments sometimes. Like even now he obviously delayed these characters to have them up there for this chapter, that's not arguable.

I don't know that he kicks Zoro at one point, or King gets up, or everyone gets kicked, or the Island lands somehwere and the whole war field changes, there's a bunch of stuff that can go down. Same with the order in which this happens, wether Zoro manages to open Kaido's scar in this first encounter, or he ends up fighting King and manages to make his way back eventually for that feat.

Zoro already did the whole "Cut a Dragons head" with Shusui like Ryuma did

He does not even have Shusui anymore, the sword Ryuma used to cut the head of a Dragon.

Right now the build up has to do with Enma and with Oden.

That's not build up to decapitate any dragon, but to open the scar that Oden left on Kaido with Enma.

Ryuma cut 2 dragons one while traveling the world and the other above the flower capital

Oda could've King stopping him last chap but didn't

I don't get it, really. I mean when did Zoro soloing King become such a bad thing that believing in it equals to dragging down Zoro ? We're talking about soloing a YC1 here. He will fight Kaido, it's set in stone. But whether he kills him or not, at the end of the day, this will be a group effort. Zoro fans focus so much on Kaido's status that they forget it's a 5v1. Suggesting a solo fight against a YC1 will happen on top of that is not an attempt at diminishing Zoro's role, that's the exact opposite.

I think the real problem lies somewhere else and it has something to do with Luffy. Zoro having a real 1v1 fight against King would suggest he's not equal to Luffy and I suspect a lot of Zoro fans don't want that to be the case. Luffy is already above YC1 level so they want Zoro to already be up there too, I guess.

Its the intent with which they believe it.
