Future Events Oda has made ZKK IMPOSSIBLE to avoid in chapter 1026

He killed the magistrate in the first chapter of Wano on screen.
Does it matter if he was fodder or a top tier ? Not really since we are talking about the concept right ?
That person is just as irrelevant as the fodders that Luffy push off the boiling lava in impel down and the nameless bounty hunter in whiskey peak that Zolo suposedly killed.

Even Zolo didn’t kill any of his opponents/villains on screen

inb4 he kills fodders in whiskey peak: named opponents like Mr. 9, Ms. Monday and every baroque works officer agents present on whikey peak are still alive
I like the Grandmaster's conviction, he was never like this, so we can't really factor his previous behaviour as a substantial notion.

Yeah, this

Kaido‘s like Whitebeard, he needs to die for the series to move forward without having him hanging around in the background like Chekov’s nuke. His story has been leading to him dying since his attempted suicide introduction. Big Mom can be written out with amnesia or some shit, Shanks, Dragon, Blackbeard, Sakazuki, they should all be EoS characters anyway.

And the only two characters that are currently on Wano and seem likely to be characters Oda would let kill Kaido- given how rare death is in the series and how important a character he is- are Zoro and Big Mom. And it doesn’t look like Big Mom is likely to try and kill him as things stand.

If Blackbeard shows up, or Sakazuki, or Shanks, or even Dragon as a truly wild guess, then that would change things, but other than them there’s no one who stands out as a potential killer of Kaido.

Oda won’t let Luffy do it. Kid and Law haven’t been important enough. Momo is still mentally a child. Hiyori hasn’t been that relevant. Hard to see him letting Yamato kill her father, no matter how awful he is. Marco, nah, not relevant enough. A Scabbard? Has the reason to kill him, but can’t see Oda picking one of them over Zoro. Orochi? Too weak, should be dealt with separately from Kaido anyway. A CP-0 assassination? Don’t think they’ve been built up enough for that. Even with Luffy being the one to beat Kaido in a fight, killing him is still something that will be impressive, given how everyone has failed to do it so far.

Zoro’s got all the symbolism from Ryuma and Oden to back it up, that’s why he’s the current, by a distant, best bet. Especially with Oda starting to bring Zoro being a Shimotsuki back into the story now we’re at the end of the arc.
Why Oda won’t let Luffy do it
And why kaido needs to be died sir

So I'm going to admit that appearance wise, there's a good argument that ZKK is less likely.

However, we're in such a weird place for basically the only other option: Luffy knocking him out as the ending. Drake and CP0 are destroyed save the one guy who just ran away. Those ships aren't worth shit; no one will cooperate with the Marines to haul away Kaido and his main gang when the borders aren't even open.

but worst of all, Luffy is gassed and who's down to pull Kaido out of the ground without taking the chance to kill him? The only thing we learned from his flashback that doesn't just create more questions is his history with captivity. Why would he give up freedom or leave Wano voluntarily?

He would leave wano voluntarily because Luffy destroyed his dreams. He thought he was the only one who could change the world, but then Luffy proved him wrong by defeating him and proving that he was joyboy.

Now Kaido no longer needs to start the world's greatest war because Luffy is going to do that by finding one piece.

His dreams aren't destroyed, we know that he found out years ago that he isn't Joyboy and that Joyboy will defeat him, but he still figured he'd take over Wano, go after the One Piece, and seek a worthy death. If losing was the end of his dreams and he knew it was coming, why even bother?

I know people are going to be on some Grooming Joyboy/Toguro shit but... what? He just laughs and flies away half dead after dicking down the entire country and boiling the new shogun's dad in front of a live audience? And they just accept that he's gone and will not terrorize them again?

He didn't know that someone would defeat him. That's why he believed he could beat Luffy up until the moment he lost. Now that he lost he knows that Luffy is joyboy and he doesn't need to start his war because its literally pointless. Luffy is going to start the war. If Kaido wants to participate in the war, all he needs to do is wait till Luffy finds one piece.

Let it go already
Kaido isnt getting up to terrorise people again
It is over.

He can fly away or whatever but expecting Kaido to die by Zoro's hands or to fight luffy again isn't happening
