If you look at how Smoker was treated in PH, Oda had him fight Law, not Luffy.

Sure, maybe Smoker can get his 5 second rematch against Luffy like Lucci did. But he has zero chance of being an arc villain, like Akainu does. The best he gets his a 1v1 with Kid or Law.

Yeah lmao if anything Kid has gotten better treatment

But I think Oda will at least give Smoker comparable treatment to Kid against the BBP. Probably have him 2v1 Kuzan with Koby.

I'd say Kid makes more sense for a Smoker fight. Law already beat him quite handedly.

Kid is yet to fight a logia and a lot of the fanbase is very doubtful on his haki skill, so it would actually be an interesting fight.

Luffy will beat Kizaru this arc. Afterward, the only admiral that will still be a threat to him is Akainu. Smoker is just irrelevant as a Luffy fight tbh.

Hence imo when Luffy fights akainu, I think Smoker will either fight Kid or Law.

I feel like Kid might make more sense than Law. Just because Law already fought Smoker and we already know Law is stronger. However Kid lacks the mobility to easily dodge Smoker’s sea stone, and hence would probably have a harder time.

I think Oda could do Law vs Koby instead, as they both have a past with the rocky port incident. By EoS, I think Koby should be on Law’s level.

But I think Law vs Smoker might still have a good chance just because Law tends to be more relevant than Kid, so I could see Oda just focusing on him while ignoring Kid.

I dig this. Koby can pursue Luffy by EOS and Smoker can go after Kidd. Whoever is the third EOS admiral can go after Law.

Yeah, Kidd has a mastodontic better treatment.

As far a Smoker goes, and I am sad, only a miracle would save him. Last time he was Vergo level at best.

Smoker has a logia, so if Oda gives him awakening like he did Kid and Law, he will definitely be top tier or close

Koby and Law have a connection due to the Rocky Port incident.

I think we disagree on definition of rivalry here.
A rival, for me, is someone who constantly competes with me over the same goal.
Law and Kidd are Luffy's rivals. Buggy is Luffy's rival. Akainu isnt. Akainu is something else.
I dont see Garp as Roger's rival either, they didnt compete over the same thing.
Rivaling his strength is something else, plenty of people can be said to rival Luffy's strength.

There is no Awakening of Logia, not even Pika Pika or Goro Goro, that can transform a Vergo level into a sorta-Top tier.

Law was stronger, got a lost stronger still and then got Awakening of one of the best fruit of the manga (>>Smoker's) and still isn't near top tiers.

Depends how effective Smoker's Awakening will be, assuming that's how he will stand a chance...
He certainly wont fight Luffy with raw strength, no point in it. Now it looks hopeless for Smoker but we'll see...
