I mean, the whole manga is literally just “government bad, pirate good”

You’d think all the atrocities that the Celestial Dragons commit would be just common things pirates do on the regular, yet Oda keeps insisting on showcasing that behavior more often from the former than the latter

Also the supposedly “strongest” Marine we have is an old fart who has the same “Shanks” personality of doing whatever the fuck he wants… while ignoring all his Marine duties and responsibilities

To be fair,you need to have nerves of steel to be a mangaka. Dude,has being working 24/7 for decades now. Oda is no bum,but i agree with your take.
