He was not in Rocks like some people thought.
Oden is 100% Samurai Luffy. Oden is exactly like Luffy with a different fighting style.
1)Oden is obsessed with freedom like Luffy. He always wanted to be a pirate since he was a child like Luffy.
2)Oden has Conquerors Haki like Luffy
3)Oden has Voice of All Things like Luffy
4) Oden has Charisma to attract allies like Luffy and charm people
5)Oden was age 19 when he took over Udon and defeated Shutenmaru like, Luffy is age 19 right now taking out the Yonko.
6)Oden became Damaiyo at age 20, like Luffy will become Pirate King at age 20.
7) Oden has 9 Scabbards like Luffy has 9 Strawhats.
8) He causes chaos wherever he goes like Luffy.
There has not been 1 place Luffy has visited without being in chaos, just like Oden.

Mihawk was obviously holding back, Luffy was just barely surviving until someone came in and intervened.
Uh no. Luffy willingly seeks out his specific opponents. He usually leaves the swordsmen to Zoro. Not to mention such a question is asinine. Thats like asking why aren't all of Luffy's opponents Zoans. Or how miraculous it is that none of Luffy's opponents know Kung Fu. Or can shoot laser beams from their eyes. Guess it must be the will of the universe that Luffy has never run into an opponent with heat vision. See how fucking stupid that is? You could go on all day doing that. It's pointless and doesn't prove your argument.
Kuma arrived on Saboady because he chose to. He willingly went out of his way to save them. The plot didn't "force" him to save them which is the only context where your argument would apply.
^All that requires is applying basic common sense. Context is important. Slapping a one word label on everything just reduces any and all discussion to mindless buzzwords.
The other reason slapping the "plot" label on everything is stupid is because literally every story is written with an objective in mind. Stories are artificial creations. So of course everything that happens is to meet the author's desired conclusion. Everything in a story is constructed to serve a purpose. Pointing at Luffy and crying "plot armor" as akin to complaining about a single grain of sand in the middle of the desert. It's redundant. You're using it in a way in which it could be applied to anything. The "plot armor" argument should only be applied when it actually matters. Otherwise you're just reducing the meaning of the word to nothing.

You may have a point with no. 1 and no. 3, but nos. 2 and 4 are subtle coincidences... and why is no. 5 and no. 6 even a point? The Yonko don't equal to Shutenmaru, they far surpass him in strength and power, and the Pirate King surpasses Daimyo, a title that grants leadership of only just one region of Wano...
Oden having CoC means he's destined to become king.. and that "king" is the Shogun. Luffy is destined to become king as well, but that "king" is the Pirate King. They don't resemble each other at all.. They have different destinies, different dreams, different goals etc; might as well say Chinjao = Luffy coz CoC..

What he's doing is setting up the idea that the 9 shadows of Lady Toki's prophecy wasn't the nine red scabbards, but the straw hat pirates, which equal 9 people.
