Well the actual quotes we have would suggest that Weevil is as powerful as prime Yonko Whitebeard before his illness, the difference being that Whitebeard:
A) was too chicken shit to face the Marines his entire pirating career and thus was able to spread the lie that he was the strongest man in the world
B) was protected by a 50K man Pirate crew while Weevil literally travels by himself.
Take the above two points away, and make no mistake Waramaki would make prime Tittybeard his absolute bitch low diff.

Now that the official Viz translation is out, we can put an end to all of the agenda-infused fan translations that tried to portray this scene as anything other than a neg diff in Ryokugyu’s favor.
And what’s worse is Weevil didn’t face Ryokugyu alone, but apparently Ms. Buckin aka legendary Rox Pirate even tried to help against Waramaki but they could still achieve absolutely nothing.
Weevil did not surrender, he got negged even with Bakkin’s help.
