And the seraphim need to be physically ordered to switch side, it can't be done from distance.

I think the big thing is that the fellas on Egghead don't know that Saturn is coming with Kizaru
One order from him and they got all 50 Mark III's plus the Seraphim
Though it'll be even better if he doesn't even need to make the command

I am all up for shiryu being there but I have three issues


1) He doesn't fit the bill of a traitor

2)How he reached there - yes he is invisible but egghead is well guarded as well

3)The explosion - not shiryu style

Oh, you can bet your ass that it will be offpaneled.
This is how I see it:
The SHs are shown on route to Lodestar.
We cut away to show that BB has already made it there. And Shanks is cockblocking him. Cue oneliners.
We cut back to the SHs. Usual adventure panels pre new island. Then they get to Lodestar and find Shanks on his last breath. Sad chapter between him and Luffy, cue Roger flashback, Luffy gives Shanks the hat, Shanks accepts it only to give it back: "Promise you'll bring the dawn. End BB's eternal night."
Shanks dies.
Luffy moves forward to find BB's already sailing for Rafter, ready to claim the One Piece.

Thing is shanks is actually important and loved by oda.

I mean he literally made GB back off and gave shanks hype moment just for his film.

So I don't think he will get off -paneled

Personally dont agree with the sentiment. Shanks is literally a big portion of Luffy's actual goals. Otherwise, he wouldnt have stated he wanted Shanks "not" to be first when taking out Yonko, or Oda wouldnt explicitly have had Shanks state hes also going after One Piece.

Then you have the pure mystery factor with the Gorosei and his FB with Roger, plus his lineage. These things cannot be ignored.

Anyway, we have multiple arcs before laugh tale, so who knows if or how either of the 2 go down before then or at LT itself, or even survive beyond that point.

I am in agreement that BB should be the LT villain and Im is likely the final antagonist, but I disagree about Shanks' role in all of this. He definitely has a much larger role than people realize, and its troubling so many people dont realize it lol

Yes Luffy mentioned all yonkous but did he live upto it? BM was defeated by kidd and law.

Shanks seem to have bad blood with not luffy but BB. The scar, him going to wb ship to stop ace and confronting BB (before navy) at MF

BB vs shanks is more likely to happen than Luffy vs shanks

I wouldnt compare Luffy's promises BM vs Shanks, a character who is just as old as the MC and started his tragectory.

And its not about "bad blood" with Luffy. Its about direct statements made by both characters:

- "As long as Shanks isnt first"
- "The time for us to meet is very soon....Luffy" (my profile pic)
- "Its time to go after One Piece".

Hell, hes going aftrr Luffy's fleet, you guys realize that right? I never understood the whole BB vs Shanks theory in isolation. They have history, and yes, their stories will be tied together, but this this will not happen without Luffy.

I think at first Straw Hats will look like they have the upper hand (to show it's not Sabaody anymore) but then Kizaru awakening/Saturn show off /make the seraphims and the pacifista switch side/ will force the straw hats to retreat.
Still a W for the crew as they would accomplish their objective (escaping with Vegapunk), but while still keeping some hype for the WG.

Right now it's a Saboteur more than anything rn
But if it turns out to be an ally then it'll be a traitor

That is a fair point as Bonney, Straw Hats, and CP0 ran into trouble reaching the island

I'm thinking the Clear Clear fruit is what gets him through, like we saw in Thriller Bark the Clear Clear fruit can make other things invisible as well. Which could easily extend to making a ship invisible also. And we saw that Vegapunk's sensors were potentially not able to detect him, and when Absalom used it even Chopper couldn't smell him anymore.

So it would simply be a matter of making a small but viable craft invisible and sailing right in

I think the explosion might have been an unrelated cut, though it will be hard to say for sure until we get an update on the fella
If he got blown to pieces the explosion was related, if he simply disappears than it wasn't

Makes me realize that Lilith has been missing also, she's currently the red herring for me rn so I think she got nabbed as well
