He surely dodged, his body angle and his stance tells that he barly dodged... If he didn't dodge he would be freezed in his place with normal stance, but not in a standing positio where your left side of the body is backwords and cigarette alone was cut....

In manga I assumed Zoro did it, and Sanji tanked it.... in anime, Zoro did it, and Sanji dodged it.... both are different ways to:
1- Hype how fearsome Zoro is
2- to also hype Sanji that he either tanked it OR dodged it

Zoro would never attempt to kill Sanji, at best injure him and even that's extensively questionable as a thought.

Regardless of anything, my point remains I suppose. He could have dodged that much more swiftly had he had the capability to.

Zoro and Sanji would never kill each other
and they DO NOT hate each other
BUUUUT
They respect each other very well that they go HARD on each other

In fact, I see Sanji going the hardest and have the strongest will scenes ONLY when he is around Zoro.... when he's not with Zoro, his competitiveness starts to become lacking... and his mental game starts to waver and shake... which is one of the biggest reasons why I put Zoro above Sanji in strength... it's because one has more will during fights than Sanji who honestly is a flawed character who may give up easier than Zoro... despite having a close set of skills for combat...

Anyway, when both combat each other, they go hard on each other because they respect each others well enough if you don't do that, the other might make a fool out of you by knocking you on the ground LOL....

That's how I view their relationship

Naturally other people will have different opinion

Hit the right nerve and I'll rage. I don't like to disappoint my peers. Honestly Eve ussop could damage zoro under the right circumstances, doesn't mean he is anywhere near able to beat him. There's always pain on the path of carnage my friend :cheers:
