I wonder why Luffy is only can use his absolute creativity only when formulating how to use such a lame rubber fruit to be super useful in an actual fight, use the rubberized blood vessels for doping system, focusing at rubberizing the muscle for maximizing tensile strength etc etc, but by that kind of intelligence toward human's physiology for the sake of combat, shouldn't he also be capable to be a war strategist to some extent?

It's interesting Enma isn't a black blade even though it has Oden's haki still. We might find out this arc exactly what makes a blade go permanently black.

We already know what is the process of turning a blade black. It was already mentioned it happened with Ryuma's shisui through his continuous battle process

So imo Oda will use Oden's battle experience with Enma to explain why it'd be easier to turn the blade black now when Zoro will manage to upgrade his haki lvl enough to continue the process with Oden's haki essence in it

It also make sense when you think about Enma's specific property of absorbing the wielder's haki. It could be something that would happen specifically due to that

It’s less about retconning Oda’s strength, and more about highlighting Kidd’s immense physical strength. At least that’s what I got from it, but hey we can agree to disagree. But whether you think it’s a retcon or not, it’s obvious that in that combo attack of the Supernova trio Oda wanted to show each of the three having their own methods to damage Kaido. You really think Oda is going to have every supernova but Kidd Sanger Kaido? Be honest.

He should have thought of a better way. Damaging him by a different use of his DF would have been better in my opinion. If you look at the impact of Luffy's attack that sent kaido on the ground and the impact of the slam Kidd did last chapter, Luffy's one is more impressive, yet I think what damaged Kaido was the punches not the landing. The ground doesn't have adv CoA.
