Agreed . It's really does seem that way. To add it seems as though it's a setup in terms of making zoro look very impressive in the sense that he is going to be taking up the mantle for his cpatain for the next 10 mins.
To add I really don't see so far zoro being below kidd or law. Infact I haven't seen anyone make mention of how zoro has been reaction speed wise to alot of this attacks. For example dude out of nowhere blitzed to luffy to save him. And then we have killer being pretty agile as well.

Well, a combination of giving him the higher bounty back in Sabaody and that he has Conqueror's Haki, but Law doesn't, so that gives him a little boost in portrayal. Also, Kidd's fruit should be absolutely broken as well, but he uses it like shit, Law has some endurance problems, i think Law > Kidd, but it doesn't seem like that was Oda's objective back in Sabaody.
