I mean, an enraged Whitebeard attack did nothing lasting to Akainu. I don’t really think we can fault Marco for that.

With respect to Katakuri and Luffy, I think Marco hasn’t shown as much versatility as them. But AP-wise I don’t think anything really indicates he’s below them (not counting Luffy’s rooftop feats).

Way ago I was hoping for Marco to have different colors of phoenix flames.

I mean, hasn't Oda made it clear that the new generation is going to bring down Kaido and his officers? Is the cp0 speech saying if the new generation is capable of defeating the officers is not enough?

I'm sorry to say that to you, but Marco is not here to take the spotlight off the new generation, but to give the necessary push to make them shine, him throwing Zoro on the roof is already a self-explanatory argument.

You gotta cut Queen and King some slack though.
Marco is extremely annoying to deal with. Not saying that he's weak or anything, but because of his mobility and his regen he's tough to bring down. They could completely dominate him, but the guy would still last long enough to make it a "battle" with actual cool panels and stuff.
And that's only based on the abiltiies we already know off.

Let's just hope that Oda turns up their game and we atleast see things, that are actually cool and not some filler shit like full animal forms doing stuff that nobody cares about similiar to King's machine gun move from the last chapter.

They are parallels of all those crews basically. However, parallels between Ace/Oden-Yamato and Thatch-Sanji are just too much to ignore.

Also to just abandon his siblings seems awfully uncharacteristic. All of the BM children seem to care about one another in some form. Also, it really saves them as a crew for falling for the same shit twice.

Plus, throwing them there will entirely throw Marco off too. Anyway, I'm hoping thats what Perospero is aiming to do. He sees Marco and King now, so maybe he plans making them all appear to either start an all out war or fight with the Beast Pirates, creating more chaos/desperation.

Oda could be avoiding to do it right now because then you'd have to give even more screentime to that crew before even all the matchups are set against the Beast Pirates.

Here's to hoping.

Maybe Perospero is waiting for an opportunity to release them but once he has found a motive to turn on the Beast Pirates by either making his mother agree to end the alliance with Kaido, or by making it look like the Beast Pirates were setting a trap for Linlin.

Neither is Sanji beating King, he got far more connections to Queen than King.
