It’s just a bit irritating how Oda wasted time putting him in the Black Maria situation. It served no other purpose than giving Robin a cool entrance lol. And unfortunately Sanji had to be clowned for Robins moment. Now that we’re past that we should see him at least show his shit against probably Queen. I don’t think we’ve seen anything near the complete capabilities of the Raid Suit.

Actually i saw somekind of development due to many reasons, like asking for help from a nakama (especially someone who had all the pontential, like Robin does, but was getting forgotten, and Sanji made the call), he didn't looked like a complete simp, just compare this with the Kalifa situation and see how much it was "better" on this aspect, with Kalifa he basicly put himself on the situation for no reason and started simping her until get beaten, there was nothing holding him to do something else.

With Black Maria he just sensed a woman being most likely abused and tried to help (thats something he does since ever). Sanji was against many fodder women and Black Maria, probably strongest than Ulti and Page One or atleast the same level, so he wouldn't hit them anyway, he defeated all the men around there while trying to avoid hitting women, thats just unthinkable of Sanji lol, it wasn't suppose to look good but i expected much worse and it served a greater good imo.

Set up Black Maria vs Robin without clowning Sanji. That’s just my opinion though.

The point is not asking help to friends, but showing acknowledgment from a character that anyone believed that could do something, "Robin is the useless weakling who needs to get protected by men but suppose to be a professional assassin, her role is reading Poneglyphs", and this puts down the argue that Sanji thinks women are all weak and he despises their strength, he was towards 2 hotties, one of them was his nakama Robin so he would look goofy anyway lol, the thing is the pacing made it really bad, even then Sanji managed to shit on a Tobiroppo again by getting that massage from Black Maria like it was nothing. Sanji asked her help, he said he was caught (obviously against women) and said "Im sorry", did we got that from the Kalifa situation? Not even close
