which is a way way better estimate compared to how much years left.

Haha, then bump that up a few more probably cause Oda always underestimates how long he continues to draw, but yeah that makes sense to me.

125- 130 volumes is about ~1250-1300+ chapters, which I can totally see if Oda gets right into everything going forward. However, I wouldn't be shocked if he clocks that to 140 volumes/1400 chapters nearly as well.

For the fight to get offscreened with Page One screaming and Sanji reappear in the next chapters with the crew like nothing happened and thinking about peek washrooms, definitely he went all out

Oda said that Marineford would be 50-pages chapters if he could put everything he wanted on the chapters. I wonder if this time he's refusing to cut the roof piece, so it gets split into 3 16-pages chapters, but everything below becomes some clown fiesta that he has no idea how the fuck he can keep a good pace there.

It's not the writing's pace that is off: Oda is artificially dragging the arc to sell more chapters on "Wano hype train." Oda and his editors were hyping this arc since like–I don't know–Fishman island I guess. Because of an entire decade of hyping, there's a lot of hype floating in the air by the naive fans who are still waiting for the heat of Wano that Oda promised. Oda knows that sooner or later, people will wake up, the fans will see that Wano isn't what Oda and his editors were promising it to be for 10 years. So what he's doing, is that he's dragging the arc's most hype moments, which are permanently in Anigashima Raid itself, to artificially extend the plot. Oda is forcing the characters to ether run around or stay in one spot and do nothing. This way he can drag "THE MOST HYPED ARC" as long as he wants.
