The fact that oda has to setup fights for the strawhats AND the red scabbard makes it much longer than any other arc. The same reason why dressrosa was so long because of the grand fleet new characters.

It's Oda's fault. Who cares about their path, just lete them go where their opponent is and start their fight in a chapter.

Nekomamushi already meeting Perospero in this chapter and saying "Sicilian told me about you and Pedro" would have been so absurd?
Sanji taking Zoro and reaching Hiyori in this chapter, would have been madness?
