People were expecting Zoro CoC big moment just like they expected him to learn the fire cutting, meanwhile it is off paneled because there are much bigger things in store for Zoro than small things like fire cutting and coc burst.

-Told Brook that it was OBVIOUSLY not him using conquerors instead of just refusing
-Didnt have any idea of what Kaido said even though he should be able to notice it if he knew he had it
Theres not a singe piece of evidence for him knowing that he had it and the anime sure as hell isnt reliable evidence

Because in the manga, Kaido literally says "Don't tell me you can use Conquerors Haki also?", and Zoro literally replies, "What are you talking about? I don't have any idea what you mean."
