At this point, I'd atleast take what they show about how the events proceed to be canon. They literally show information that is not shown in the manga. Like remember that one silhouette trailing Robin and Jinbe when they start infiltrating Onigashima? The anime showed Yamato there lmfao.

Yh and the anime also showed Pekoms defeating Sanji in WCI….so fuck them lol.

The best thing is to just wait, and maybe Marco reveals something about his first defeat. Or King and Queen say something about Marco.

Oh totally. I only started taking the anime seriously for this arc. Its pretty apparent that Oda is rushing stuff in the manga and is hoping that the anime fills in the gaps. We literally just saw him offscreen a calamity fight last week lol

Sanji sneaked attacked Queen in 1015 and 1017. Both times Queen didnt get to see DJ. If Sanji and Queen fought much off-panel, Sanji wouldve brought out DJ and Queen wouldve questioned him then instead in 1023. 1023 quite clearly shows Queen and Sanji havent been fighting much. Whilst 1022 shows that Queen isnt focussing on Sanji at all. All of this leads to Queen leaving Sanji at one point to help defeat Marco, either before Sanji’s first defeat by the Duo or after.
