Actually it showed Zoro perceived the incoming attack first, he was just preoccupied so Sanji was the one who stopped it
Being surprised doesnt mean perceiving first, to block the attack you have to perceive it, prepare the anticipation and then block. While King attacked Sanji (which Zoro blocked) while Sanji's body having a weird Germa reaction, dividing Sanji's attention between battle, biological change, and even family dispute, after he elegantly jumped in dodging a barrage of lasers Queen aimed at him, jumped farther than the stumbled Zoro. Oh not to forget Sanji just fought against both Queen and King alone while Zoro was 100% recharged by Senzu Bean. And nerfed, distracted, body-alterared Sanji managed to slip Den2 Mushi without Zoro even realizing between barrage of lasers, a slightly slower version of which (from King) had made Zoro stumbled and difficult to dodge? In the speed, stealth, target precision, it's clearly Sanji who is superior. Zoro sure has more savagery, lethality, endurance, attack power and brute qualities. But i don't think Zoro is better from every aspect, Sanji also had some (fewer) things better than him.

I never mentioned Luffy even once. We all know he underwent a power creep, but that doesn't defy the notion that Kaido's health was heavily disrupted instead while Luffy's is supposed to have recovered via meal according to One Piece dynamics.

I just made a point regarding Zoro, his stamina in particular. And no, he definitely didn't rest enough tbh.
Adding stamina and stuff is random. The story doesn't concerned about that. It is his injuries that Oda is mainly concerning.

Zoro is down bad when he was taken down from Roof top, he was just carried around like a body pillow. It is only after he was injecting with the drug he started moving again. So his injuries was the main thing that keeps him unable to move not stamina.

Something what Oda isn't even concerning, you guys always added it up.
He doesn't concern about stamina, he make Law and Kid non-stop fighting a Yonko since Roof top.
All according that logic chap 1010 Luffy shouldn't be fully recovering his stamina either, but nobody talk about that because it is irrelevant.

Zoro himself show no sign or have internal monologue about he is not fully recovered that's why he is not doing his best against King.
If anything Zoro have problems in himself from the start of the fight, Oda will always let readers know and show it on panel so that we can have our reasons with Zoro performance not upto expectation.

So bringing up stamina problem out of the blue which was never address in the story is just another lame excuses.

> Zoan King tanking Kaido slashing attacks with his wings, with no damage
> Base King overpowering Zoro in his own forte(swordmanship+physical strength)

No wonder Oda made a spread a chapter before focusing on the RHM's.
Just a reminder why they shouldn't be underestimated :beckmoji::phoenixmarco::king::kata:
Right hands have always been special and not to be underestimated, it's no wonder Zoro is struggling.

Queen fought Sanji for maybe a few minutes before King started fighting Zoro.

For most of the night Marco was fighting both King and Queen and their Gifters with Pero shooting down candy arrows.
That's as close to being a lie as possible. Queen is playing with Chopper for 30 mins before fighting Sanji. Even before that, Queen is never seen engaging Marco in a battle until Marco attacked him to save Hygoro. The whole Queen and King fought for several minutes if not hours is a big fat lie created to discredit King.

In reality, the two-on-one lasted less than a couple of minutes, and Marco fought them by seperating them, which is impressive in it's own right.
