Oda is not generally good at crafting compelling female characters. He is good at making women strong and giving them fundamentally the same abilities as the men while keeping the real world dynamic of men as naturally superior fighters. The fact any woman was in the top 10 as Big Mom was is less realistic compared to human history. Lucci and Kaku were both dropped by a woman recently. Nami just defeated a Yonko and his sniper in this very chapter.

Oda is not generally good at crafting compelling female characters. Do you not read the same manga as us? Literally a female character dropping a giant warrior to his knees with minimal effort in this chapter.

Big Mom isn’t a woman? Ulti wasn’t a woman? Nami? Robin? Ripley? Boa Hancock? Any of the marine captains and Vice admirals? Stussy? Monet? Kuina? Smoothie?

That’s more powerful, influential female warriors than literally any other manga that isn’t focused specifically on a group of girls/women. Just like in the real world you aren’t going to see male captains surrounded by female warriors. This is a pirate world. Women obviously suffer in this world through sexualization and harassment throughout this story, including sex slavery, just like they did in the real world of pirates in human history.

It isn’t a better or more realistic story to simply insert powerful women in the name of feminism or representation. Doing that when you aren’t good at writing women, as Oda generally isn’t (with a few exceptions), makes your story worse.

Ofc I have read it, and I am not impressed at all by how Oda has treated and portrayed women such as BM, Hancock, Smoothie, Tashigi, Robin and others in a very long time. The way Big Mom and Smoothie in particular have been treated is incredibly bad, it made Sakura's treatment in Naruto looks good.

I grew up with western animated series such as ATLA or DC animated series where strong female characters were much better portrayed and written that what I have seen in One Piece and other mangas such as Naruto or Dragon Ball, which only makes me lament further the wasted potential that these OP female characters have.
