Answer my question though. If Kaido and Akainu both have top tier DF, Adv Haki, and Awakening, than what other cards does Akainu have up his sleeve (which Kaido doesn’t) which would allow Akainu to compensate for Kaido having much superior base stats before factoring in DFs and Haki?

Akainu has an awakened logia. Logias are still the strongest fruits and EOS is gonna prove it.

What is the drawback of awakening.
Does it depends on stamina?
Can Luffy use it all the time.

Unlike Paramecia type, Zoan awakening has stamina and health regen as I remember from back then in impel down. This could be an explanation for why Luffy could still stand back up even after the beating he took from Kaido and even restart his heart.

I am pretty they were forced into these conditions as said during the Arc, so I don't think it applies here.
