Hope this month break helps Oda clear his head out and start fresh the new arc, because this one was simply awful.

My guy probably changed everything he wanted to do mid onigashima. I mean 2 years ago he said we will see some shit happen with sabo boa and vivi so he planned a fourth act at least. It's sad bcause it's been underwhelming but decent I guess. Until Page one defeat it's actually a top tier arc

All that needs to happen there:

1) Finding the road ponegliff (btw what was that shit with the dolls in the basement that was never touched upon again?)

2) Clarifying Zoros ties with Wano

3) Ending Hiyori's/Zoro's character arcs

4) Explaining why on earth Wano was so "special" according to Kaido

5) huge banquet (was promised all along)

6) discussing their next destination

7) ending for Kidd's and Law's character arcs

8) showing what happened with the rest of the BM pirates

9) finale for Yamato (does Luffy allow her to join or not)

10) ending for Tengu's/Tama's/Toko's character arcs (what are they doing now)

11) leaving Wano and farewells

All that in two chapters.
Let it sink in and then remember that we also got multiple chapters of a completely irrelevant sumo dude goofing around, weird Udon prison chapters etc.

Neither of the girls had those, they only got actual character development in later arcs like Arlong park and Enies lobby(unless you count Nami simply staying for a while as character development, or you are like people such as Morj that claim they didnt REALLY join up until those arcs), and both Brook and Jinbe also didnt really grew

Go back and read Orange Town and tell me Oda didn’t develop Luffy and Nami’s relationship that arc

Nami had character development every since chapter in the East Blue where it grew to Arlong Park

Yamato has remained a static character for over 70 chapters.

Jinbei and Brooks arcs were both complete. They were both pirates before Luffy even met them.

She said she was fully trusting Luffy by that point in defeating Kaido

To be fair he definitely didnt plan for the end to be like this, he is probably just as tired as we are after 4 years in the same arc

Brooks connection to Laboon was brought up maybe half way through the arc, then he fought alongside them against Oars, then he witnessed Zoro and Sanjis moments with Kuma, then he played Binks Sake.

Yamato held off Kaido and then was a princess unable to do anything while Momo and Luffy did everything. Don’t compare these two.

That whole sequence where the crew learn how much of a man Brook is and you knew he was in around the mid point of thriller bark (ch 459)
